CZ75 .40cal problem

My son in law has a CZ75 in 40 cal. This unit has been "questionable" since day one.
The safety/de-cock has always returned to "safe" position when not held down. Yet the gun still fires, even with the "red dot" covered by the switch. Now the trigger is engaging the sear randomly.
As in (5 trigger pulls) nothing, nothing, bang, nothing, bang. WTF??
I certainly suggested returning the unit to CZ USA, but he kinda wanted a "local" fix. Any ideas.

definitely needs to be addressed to CZ. There are plenty of people here I imagine, myself included, who could probably take care of it if we had the gun in hand, but any safety issue like that should be handled by a gunsmith.

My solution would be to listen real close while pulling the slide to the rear. If the Flux Capacitor is making a whining noise at high RPM, it's probably a defective hydraulic line.

the flux capacitor engages as expected, however, the arc chamber seems to be over-exciting the ram driven warp drive regulator. Thanks for the input.

Well that's easy then

It's obviously the Heisenberg compensator. Just jump down the Jeffries tube and take care of it.

You guys are way

off base, it's the turboamfibulator, that's the problem, there is a video that explains the whole thing, if I can only find it.

I'm having fueling issues and that fuel system has to have a continuum tranfunctioner in it somewhere, because I'm supposed to have a "special tool" to disconnect the fuel line. This truck is really making me think about going back to a gasser.

because you're right, the oil runs every goddamned thing on the Powerstroke, but oil pressures are fine. I checked the batteries, with my new multimeter (I AM A REAL MAN!!!), because a 2 volt drop will cause the PCM to shut down, but the batteries are fine. It's gotta be the fuel system. When I went to depressurize the system, nothing came out of the drain valve, so it's gotta be either a blown fuel pump fuze of bad fuel pump, I think.

Runs, check

the transfer pump, it sounds like the pump is bad or 'fuse/ relay'. Oil pressure does control most everything on a 'power stroke', most importantly fuel pressure for the injectors.

Holy crap. I may end up buying an '08-'10 Powerstroke and saying fuck this thing. I'll get it up and running, but my god, how am I ever going to mod the shit out of it if I can't even keep it running? Kinda figures, with over 270k miles on the clock, but damn.

270K is high, even

for an 'oil burner' however at 4+ bucks a gallon for diesel, it's probably better parked......and Greg gives me shit about my Subarus (shakes head).....LOL!

I may end up getting an F150, but I hate the idea of driving something with spark plugs. I have a small dick and I want the world to know I'm trying to compensate by driving a big, bad, smoke belching monster.

even my lowly 02' impreza gets around 25 mpg, the STI not so much. However LBC and I live in similar climes and I like the AWD, personally. That's the subie's downfall, full time AWD costs mileage.

I'm going to an F150. I really liked the idea of being able to tow the empire state building, but the only time I really towed anything heavy was when I moved from AZ to MO and had my wife's Milan, my quad, and a couple hundred pounds of ammo and brass. That truck definitely worked well for that, but I think a modded out F150 would do just as well. Now I need to do some research and decide which year to get. I like the 5.4L, but I think a 4.6 would be easier to find aftermarket parts for.

it costs about 20 grand to do. I had looked into the Cummins engine, Allison transmission and Superduty chassis, but that's expensive as shit, even though it would result in what is probably the best diesel truck on the road.

Is this a Custom Shop gun or has anyone done any work on the firearm?
Not limited to but including changing the Main Spring out to a lighter weight spring?

Vaq, ok

I edited m post, because after reading it I kinda thought some might take it as me disparaging a company and people I do respect (CZ-Custom).

If it can be narrowed down to being a stone factory firearm or one that had an action/trigger job done on. I can tell you what is happening and what the cause is.

and it can be changed to a Thumb Safety for Cocked and Locked carry or changed to Decocker for a half cocked Double action first shot carry.

Have him get the manual and look up the directions on changing the function for Safety or Decocker and make sure that it is configured correctly to function with the Decocker installed and is not setup for the Safety but has the Decocker installed.

It is a simple thing that the owner is expected to be able to do as they pack both the safety and the decocker in the box when it is shipped with one or the other installed and the uninstalled part in the box.

Check that out before shipping it anywhere...

Also, call them if you decide to ship it and see if you need a RMA # for the service.

iIt is probably something very simple to cure...

its supposed to get down to 15 tonight in good old peeples valley.. I got out earlier and did the yearly heat tape plug in.. Nothing makes a home look as good as a british racing green extension cord draped over (ok i went all out and put it under) the porch rail..

anyway.. i'm cold.. at least its pure white outside, mts really are pretty.. kinda a Currier and Ives moment..

just got finished watching reef.. thats the one with the white shark that hunts down all but one of a sailing snorkeling party...

12 ~ here tonight

plus or minus, not much snow though. Just got back from picking the younger boy up from work detail, he got into a spot of bother with the law and got 105 hours of community service for his trouble, God I will be glad to not have to drive half way across the valley to pick him up every night, wreaks havoc on my fuel bill (even in a lowly misermobile like my beloved subie).....sigh!!!

And since I was once ordered by my platoon leader in Iraq not to consume any part of the local populace, I guess that means I shouldn't mess with people. Everything else is fair game.

I wonder if her order is still valid now that she's not in my chain of command. She did preface her order with "Sgt Marlow, as your platoon leader...", so I guess since she's not my PL anymore, the order is invalid, right?

I need to go back to Iraq.

Fuck my truck
