As I told you, everytime I go to classifieds and click on the carbine or the text below I get a page full of post topics (perhaps yours? I can't tell) and a 'You do not have access to this page" message. I was thinking about buying it myself. I think something is wrong with the rendering here.

How did you come up with the price you are asking for it? A little steep for a hi point, don't ya think?

both are great rifles.... but if I could only have one, I think I would go with the Socom. .308 is harder hitting and has longer range. The socom will be a little heavier. You give up 10 rds mag cap on standard mags (AR 30, M1 20) but thats alright. The socom already comes with the rail to throw almost anything on it that you want. my advice... get that little socom thunderstick now... and save up for the bushmaster later (if you can still buy one).

toss up

yeah im not worried about clip capacity, i feel larger clips are for people with no aim lol. but thats the point with the ar, if i should get it now before they are extinct. you know finding someone that is selling theirs during this political mess is going to be near impossible

yeah, I see what your saying about AR's. There would be a slight possibility that they would be named in a ban, but not M1's, being that they have pistol grips and black rifles catch a bad wrap... but I have a feeling that if there IS going to be a ban, they will try to list all semi auto rifles with detachable mags and shorter bbl lengths etc... I would just go with the rifle that you want the most now, and worry about availability later when you can afford your next purchase. There are a lot of rifles out there and people will always need extra cash (especially in times like these), so there will always be private sales... the prices may just go through the roof like with pre-ban rifles in the 90's.

Anyway, I own a bushmaster M4 and a M1 scout squad. If I could only keep one I would keep the M1. Just my preference.

The basic firearm is much less -- IF you can get it -- but this one appears to be loaded with accessories, plus he's got to ship it through an FFL. I think it is a fair price. My local FFL charges $50.00 per on the receiving end. It's a litte high, but you have to drive an additional 60 miles to get to one that charges $40.00, so that doesn't make much sense either. I'm looking for an AR-15 as well, but I can't find one for less than $1400. I dunno--there are so many darned demands for my funds right now, yet Obama is on his way. I'm in a quandry. Not sure what I'll do.

damn $40-$50 for using a FFL for shipping. Its $20-$30 around here. $1400 for a basic AR is retarded! Have you been looking online at all? I know I recently heard of some dpms and stag's going for around $900

Reaper. I agree

$50 said with a snear, too, like he knows he's got you. Can't say I felt welcomed there. The other retail shop in the county won't do it at all and one of the private guys will do it for $100!! Lots of 'out of stock' online stuff, though I just got 1000 rounds of 9mm from the Armory pretty quickly. The $1400 piece was something like $750 last year same time (Ar-15: .223)

$212 shipped

for American Eagle FMJ. I saw the Wolf. That's pretty dirty stuff. I wish they'd clean it up a bit. I'm sorry. I lied. It's from ammunition to go cause I saved about $20 for the same stuff when I figured in shipping. I had it in my 'shopping cart' both places.
