I am 25 and am divorced with 2 kids. Dont be shy with the divorce stories lets hear it. My ex got with some pot head with a dad who is an ex felon (reminder i am a correctional officer) and i found out and got some pics off their myspace and some info off the ncic, ncis, scope, and notis long story short the judge didnt like it and gave me primary physcial custody. Score one for good dads!!! |

It's about damn time a dad finally won! My buddy got divorced..wife was a crank head..she got custody of his little boy, with alimony/child support. Then, dropped the kid off at dad's house for 4/5 days a week, while she went out smokin' up his money with her meth head boyfriend. He went back to court to get custody, and stop the child support since he had the little boy all the time anyway, not to mention bought everything the little guy needed..clothes, shoes, toys, etc. The damn woman judge told him he'd just have to document all this for a year, and then she'd "review" the case! Luckily for him, about 2 mths later his ex and her crack head got busted, went to jail, and he was able to get full custody. Pisses me off, everybody in town knew these two were doing this crap, even the cops, just hadn't been able to catch 'em yet, and still this dumb ass judge wouldn't take the kid away from her, but by God let somebody even think you might have spanked a kid, and they're beatin' your damn door down accusing you of "child abuse"!

yes they are worth it, especially if the court finds you a better parent than the mother. But I cant help but to think there must be an easier, quicker, and cheaper way. It just seems like alot of pointless back and forth paperwork and unnecessary court hearings. Just get to the point and get it done.

I am happy about this, I never exprcted this to happen, I went in thinkin she was going to get everything cause thats all I ever heard. But it went my way, thank god. My kids will have a normal up bringing.

I live in Texas, and while I don't agree with it, the courts feel that in most cases the mom is a better influence. I see cases like this all the time. It's good that the right thing happened for once.
