I have never owned or shot a Howa rifle but, I have heard good things about them. I watch a guy on TV that uses a Howa rifle for varmint hunting in a ruger 204 and he makes some very good long shoots with the rifle.

Howa (Japan) has been around for awhile. I believe they made the Weatherby Vanguard and possibly a shotgun them for a while. I've never heard anything adverse about them.

Howa Rifles do make guns for Weatherby. I bought a Howa/Hogue Ranchland in 22-250 about 3 months ago. I've owned brownings, remingtons, and Savages. This gun had the best trigger and accuracy i've had in any of the rifles i own. .397'' groups at 100 yards out the box with factory Remington ammo. Go buy you one. This gun was bought for my daughter but daddy may use this one too! The hogue overmolded stock is awsome. Mines OD green. Wanted Desert Sand but the green was all my Gun Shop Buddy could find. These were sold out everywhere. If you Want one i suggest you get it before it gets to close to huntng season...
