Dove season opens tomorrow here in Okeechobee, FL. Going out with my Remington 870 Wingmaster. I'll let you know how it performs out in a dove shoot. "Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies."

I love dove hunting! Mostly because of their huge numbers, unlike quail. Dove season in Kentucky opens early-Sep.1. Good Luck...Be safe!

Just got back from my dove hunt. There was four of us and between us all we tallied 33 doves. I managed to shoot six but could only retrieve four because one went into a deep ditch and the other got injured and then blown away by the other person I was shooting with.
Overall my shotgun performed great. The only problem I had was that I had the plug in so I could only carry three shots and those go way to quick!

I went out again yesterday evening but only for an hour or so. The dove were flying real low and fast and their numbers were not as large. I ended up only shooting seven times but managed to at least get two. Both happened to land in the middle of a muddy ditch again so it was time to go wading. lol

i never have bird hunted with dogs.always wanted to.i have run hounds for furry things but it is so different
Reaper308
yeah, my lab was raised pheasant and duck hunting when i lived back in Kansas. He loves that shit. He would get a hard on when I pulled his hunting collar out. I also have a Pointer mix who would be great at flushing but I never taken her out, now that I live in AZ, not many birds to hunt except quail.
