DPMS question

So I am stuck with what I got. I got the DPMS ar 15 with the A2 upper. I was reading on a law enforcment site that DPMS is nothing but junk. Has anyone experienced problems with DPMS before? I have already shot atleast 400 rounds with not a hint at failer. My wife bought it for 900 new just last week, i could easily sell it for a small profit right now, just wondering what you all think? I personaly love it.

I've never owned one, but shot a couple. Both rifles that I shot were fine (compared to other standard AR's). There is always better stuff out there, but you'll have to pay for it. At $900 you can't really complain. I paid more than that for my bushmaster M4A3 two years ago. I've heard of some people having some issues with DPMS, but never experienced any problems personally.

If you can sell it for a profit, you may want to see what else is out there in the price range that you'll get for it... but with the availability of AR's these days, you maybe better off keeping it. On second thought... didn't your wife buy it for you? If you sell it, you'll be in the dog house for sure! I would probably keep it. It should be a good rifle.

Yeah I'll stick with what I got, I have a feeling I will buy more of the AR platform guns in the future anyhow. I want a sniper style in a bad way.

I don't own a DPM either, but I've shot one. And I know a couple of people who have them and love them. If you're putting rounds through it and it's working then I say keep it. I've heard some good reviews about them and a few complaints from other people. But, like all things, there is always a lemon out there no matter what you are shooting. There are a lot of "gun Snobs" out there who think if you don't have a Colt or a LMT then you don't have anything. It's akin to people saying if you don't drive a mercedes then you don't have a real car. If it's working for you, then enjoy it. Just my 2 cents. Oh yea, and you should probably bring your wife flowers or something, a wife that buys her man a gun, any gun, is a keeper.

Proud DPMS owner

I have had my DPMS for some time and have zero issues with it. The only issue I have had is people talking trash about them. I always say put your money where your mouth is. I will shot against any other manufactures AR15 and shoot just as well if not better. Gunnin88 hold your head up high and proudly say you shoot a DPMS.

Have a friend that shoots for Team DPMS and loves them. I'm planning on buying the AR-10 in 6.5 Creedmoore. Good rifle to own.

No problems. Love it. Not shooting it because of ammo prices but I own 3 DPMS's and love them all. $900 is a little pricey but now adays you take what you can get.....
