A TOAST TO GREG AZ......SALUD.......BUURP!!!!!
Special occasion, or not!!!!!!
from Hill AFB are busy this evening, we don't usually see them this far south!
I didn't realize, I miss the sound of the warbirds.
Most are deployed and no exercises to speak of on weekends.
C130s and B1s, I miss the B52s too!
hrupp!say that real fast three times and you'll go straight to pasadena.what?
since this is an imaginary bar then my alcoholic ass can have a imaginary double shot of MacNaughtons Canadian whiskey dropped in a mug full of Coors Banquet beer.(called a boiler maker)of which I slam down and say Congrats To Padre!Long Live Ye!
are training tonight, which is unusual, they are normally 40 miles north of me and usually headed west, out into the desert. I am right up against the Wasatch Mountains, foothill to the Rockies, these boys are flying right over my house tonight!
Man i missed the party.. Think i'll have a shot of something smoth if the bars still open.. Brother brought back a fifth of glenlevits (spell checks out sick again).. this is the triangular bottle... Talk about smoth shit...
Mike hope this talk doesnt make it hard for you..or harder anyway..
We have the boys from yuma some MAC group that do thier turn around right over the house.. Obviously they do it based on the Weaver Mts. but they have no speed restrictions, and the first couple of sonic boom will make you pay attention.. big time..
you still on here?
what kinda amo did brother Vaq send ya?
Pard and i started talking about him loading what he called his "padre plinkers" back a couple of months ago.. so i sent him some empty 38 brass, and he loaded up some red dot.. said they chrono at right around 780 fps or so... which is just a step down from full power 38 special.. as im going to use them for the old victorys, and DA stuff this works out great.. plus thier a tad easier to shoot for Gloria.. Remember she has a couple of 38 snubs, and while not like my airweight they do have a kick that these will help with..
Not sure what the bullet weight is.. they appeear to be like 140 maybe... conical lead with a flat nose.. i know vaq weighted them, and there right on so looking forward to printing them..
Then that son of a gun sent me ammo for what your making.. he told me he had pm'd you to get the caliber... Looking forward to putting these on paper as well... all in all 11 lbs of ammo.. and a great day..
125gr lead cast 9mm bullet
3.5gr RedDot powder
Remington small pistol primer
Bullet seated to cannelure with a "light" crimp.
I fired a cylinder full of these over a chrono.
Highest was 820 fps.
Average was 780 fps
Standard deviation of 20 fps.
all you gotta do is smile and enjoy the ride!you always have a good word for any and all of us.even when you have been dealing with stuff in your life.we do it for you!(just shush and like it!).just is the way it is.period.I finished up the final milling on the scope base today.now I will do the drill and tap after I mill the top of the receiver so I know it is flat.I want you and all who have put in on this to know that I am working my ass off trying to get this rifle done. This project is going on a year come November.I know you aint hurrying me Greg but I am hurrying myself.
That being said, i have to be honest .. Vaq sent some ammo, and i have like 5 diffrent kinds ready to print to see what she likes.. If you don't think im looking forward to printing that puppy your wrong.. Gary (brother) had given me some stuff that "supposedly" is used at camp perry. I know its in a white mil spec box.. and never heard of 22 being called ball before.. this is.. anyway... Pictures with the diffrent ammo is step one...
