Ebonics speakers

I heard on the news today that the DEA is looking to hire some Ebonics speakers to use a translators. This probably makes sense, since if one didn't grow up in that community, one has no idea what the people are saying. Some "language expert" was on, who said that Ebonics is just as varied, complex and CORRECT as is standard English. I say that this is absurd.
