tonight with the missus. We have a library levy on the ballot and I sure hope we win it this time (We lost last time 55-45, but this time we put a lot more work in it. I voted straight Republican ticket this time. Or senate race, Rossi vs. Murray may decide control of the senate and it's very very close. Seattle and the west side of WA is the bluest of the blue. Crossing fingers here. My stomach is very very tight. I wish this was over.

I live on the more conservative side of the state. I get to be on this side of the state and curse the majority of the people on the west side of Washington. I sometimes wish the would divide us in half and let us run our side te way we see fit. I hope Rossi gets it and I hope they do not find a bag of votes at some post office this time.

Me and my dad went and voted tonight. It's a tradition thing, we always go together since I was 18. I live in a pretty conservative area anyway, but from what I've heard people talking about around here, I think things might swing the right way this time. Let's hope so.

election humor

George Bush and Barack Obama somehow ended up at the same barber shop. As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken. The barbers were even afraid to start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics.

As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had Obama in his chair reached for the aftershave. Obama was quick to stop him saying, 'No thanks, my wife Michelle will smell that and think I've been in a whorehouse.'

The second barber turned to Bush and said, 'How about you sir ?'
Bush replied, 'Go ahead; my wife doesn't know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like.

Good joke!

I like it, Vaquero!

I voted early, like Hampster. I told everyone on here that I wrote my own name in for U.S. Senator. I certainly won't win (my wife voted straight Republican, as did my younger daughter), but I didn't like the guy who won the caucus, then the Primary, and couldn't stand the Democrat, so I exercized my prerogative and wrote myself in. A moral victory.

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. (Mark Twain).

"Over the last four years, the Democratic Majority in the House took courageous action on behalf of America's middle class to create jobs and save the country from the worst economic catastrophe since the Great Depression.

"Our Members and candidates ran remarkable campaigns led by the superb leadership of DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen.

"The outcome of the election does not diminish the work we have done for the American people. We must all strive to find common ground to support the middle class, create jobs, reduce the deficit and move our nation forward."

Chorizo

It was actually Portuguese sausage but chorizo is easier to spell. Had the Portuguese stuff in Honolulu a few years back while visiting my cousin. Starting to get it in the stores here now. I do like a good spicy chorizo though.
