EMF Just Right Carbine
Hey new to the site hope this is the right place to post this. Not an expert in any means just saw this EMF Just Right Carbine. Was wondering what everyone was thinking about it. I thought it would be useful having an gun that could use 9mm for home defence but saw reviews that put shooting distance to 150 yds was wondering it any of the rounds offered would be ok for hunting small game such as coyotes within 100 yards. Was hoping to hear from some gun users with more experience than me. |

Im sure someone will be able to answer your carbine question. I do not have any experiences with EMF Carbines. But in any case glad to meet ya. Please tell us about your guns you own. Once again welcome and hope to see some pics of your weapons soon.

I have never heard of that either. Sounds interesting to me. I was going to get a beretta storm carbine in 9 mm. I like the 9 mm. What have you heard about the emf. As far as the nine for yotes..I don't know why it wound not work at shorter distances...50 to 75 yards. I am sure it could kill them further out but that's the distances I. Have heard for the nine. Here they use 22 hornet.. 223..22-250.. I. Only have second hand information on dogs because I don't hunt them. But lots of guys do. As There are bounties on them.

Provide you hit them solidy in a vital area, the 9/40/45 (advertised chamberings for the EMF) will kill a coyote.....just not as quickly or decisively as a good centerfire rifle pill.
I've used a 9mm Colt out to 50yds on feral dogs and other varmints with no problems. Target shooting at 100yds with it was no prob but at 100yds pistol cartridges have trajectory and performance issues that have to be addressed.
In 9mm I'd use a 124gr +p JHP; in 40/45 I'd actually go with a light-for-caliber load to keep the trajectory flatter and up the possibility for good expansion. Try 155gr XTP or Gold Dot in .40SW; in .45acp the 185gr XTP is a verrrrrry accurate bugger.

Sounds like a sweet pistol/rifle, though I am not sure I would trust those rounds at 150yds. Maybe for popping paper but not and damage on a living thing. too far.

Wow a lot of great input here guys. My concern was that the round wouldn’t take the animal down in a humane fashion. Even with it being for coyotes I prefer to make sure if I hit them it takes them down. There is a few videos on you tube of the gun being tested I thought was interesting also.

for the price of the EMF I would opt for a center fire in whatever caliber you desire.
Personal opinion here totally:
That EMF is something that would work well in an Oh Shit type of situation. Giving you the advantage of being able to reach out further than you hand gun, but having it in the same caliber as your hand gun so your not having to carry two different calibers. House clearning, up close Bipedal types of Animals.
Coyotes are extremely smart and in parts where people actively hunt them, very human shy. So I'd opt for something in center fire with a scope.Savage and Remington make some very sweet center fire small caliber rounds that would work well for them and not cost you too much if not a bit less than the EMF.
Or even a Lever Action such as this .45LColt with Scope package..

dunno, just seems that the EMF would be questionable if shooting humanely is in mind if at any real distance or on the move.
