hi.
i'm new to the forums and i need some help.
a friend of mine from work got a winchester 30-30 from a family member. the gun sat in an attic and got rained on and rusty. he was going to strip it and try to clean it up.
the only problem was, he hasn't stripped a gun since his m-16 and .30 cal.. 40 years ago.
he got it apart.. all apart, and couldn't get it back together. go figure. ;-)

so he asked me to give it a try.
well, i've looked around on line and can't find any exploded views/diagrams of it. it was made in 1971, and has no safety.
he knows he lost at least 1 spring, maybe more and it looks like at least 1 or 2 screws.

the diagrams i did find aren't the ones.. close, but not quite. the hammers look different and so do a couple springs.

any help would be appreciated.
thanks.

they have good diagrams, some will cost you a buck but they are decent for reassembly, not to mention that winchester lever guns are a bitch to work on!so good luck
