thats going to affect

boots on the ground relying on GPS more than pilots i believe,as pilots have more than one GPS available to them in most planes and escpecially in commercial flights, give me a compass and a topo map and i'm GTG.

I live on the tip of land at the north side of Tampa Bay. Our cell phones keep dropping and attempting to kick into roaming non-stop thses last few days.

I wonder it that could be because of the testing? We have more than enough towers so it should not happen ever....

without using a calculator.
Some things you need to know how to
do the old fashion way.
Even the boy scouts can find their
way around with a compass and a map.

sunspots

are affecting cell phone signals thru 2012,sunspots are 50 yr cyclic occurences and we are in yr 48-49 of just that.Nothing to do with 2012 prophecy(i had to add that for myself).I still enjoy getting out in the boonies with a compass and map during the summer, and i'm looking into it for the winter as well but i have to buy snow shoes first so next year for that shit.

Don't want you to be mistaken for an Elk

has a feature called selective availability. If activated, any GPS device that doesn't have anti-spoofing will be thrown off but will show the normal mergin of error. I had a GPS in Iraq once that said I was 29,000 meters above sea level moving at 800 miles per hour while sitting stationary at a police station. The margin of error showed +/- 10 meters.
