Fans of FOX Serial "24", Enjoy the new Firepower, but Writers' Fatigue....................
WOW---Lots of firepower last night. Nice handguns and full auto subbies, and even a shoulder fired missile destroying a CTU Helo. The premise of this 24 is pretty good-- The President of a middle eastern power [ a la Iran] is going to give up on its nuclear ambitions, for the sake of world peace. But the bad guys from his country and/or other Islamo-terrorists do not want this to happen, so they are going to assasinate him, before he can sign the agreement. Problem: In the course of this action starting to go down, we learn that the elite security folks in CTU, could not even conduct a reasonable background investigation, in hiring a key Agent, whose resume was fabricated to avoid a questionable past. We need to either get the writers fired, or get the CTU top management prosecuted for deriliction of duty.

I haven't heard from you in a while...I do agree, that part was really screwed up, but what the heck...I am just thankful that AFN showed the two hour premiere over here in Iraq. If I happen to miss tomorrow's shows...make sure you fill me in!!! Thanks.

Asking "Who's Jack Bauer?" by a CTU employee should be grounds for termination of employment. I tuly think the writers are going dry, as reflected by more and more semi-soap opera stuff--really more and more cliches or variations on past material like
the Russians who want to sell black market nukes.

Wife and i haven't missed a season, and while the acting and character development has been excellent, I couldn't believe they didn't do a comprehensive background check on a supervisor of CTU.
That part of the story line is subpar, and the whole "russian nuke thing" is right outa season 456&7.
Notice also how they have not had reference one to Muslim fundamentalists.. This to me is pure Holliwood PC and a bit insulting.. That being said our boy Jack is back, and im sure we wont miss an episode.. Did ya all know Keifer was a rodeo star back when he was a kid. I've forgoten the details, assume it had something to do with Dad shiping him out of Hollywierd, but for what ever reason he was on the circut as a bareback rider for a couple of years and won some events.. Thats enough "real" stuff for me. I'd like to think he's one step ahead of the weird group..

Season 4 took a lot for me to get through. And of course after it's all over, I find out Dennis Haysbert is a fucking Obama loving liberal. Why, SGM Blaine, why?

Based on his portrail as POTUS for what 2 maybe 3 years.. Someone made the comment that his role probabley made the general public and in specific those right of center more exceptant of a black pres. To which he replied ...well yeah maybe.. I remember how he was castrated for saying this, so im gona give him a break for voting for O, fact is he was right.. 24 gets like 75% of prime viewers, and i have no doubt that his powerful portrail of a pres helped O.

Hell, I don't watch anything now that they took our TV away at work. I did enjoy the first season of Sons of Anarchy, though.

a great show and I do agree though, they are trying to be PC and I hate that though...for instance in last season, they had the Imam who was helpful and the young Muslim man who was being used to perpertrate an attack by US personnel trying to pin it on Muslim Extremists and then when Jack is ready to die, he is consoled by the Imam...I didn't like that.

only scripted drama I watch. It was pretty good. The rest are reality (not the gay dating shows) and documentaries.

I'd come home and find a 20-something woman watching Sweet Sixteen or some other dumb shit. The closest to a reality show I've ever gotten into was Cops and Bullrun.

I don't know how many there are, but the one with the fat meskin and the bodybuilder guy. There was an episode where a little asian chick (HOT HOT HOT, by the way), beat the fat meskin on a sidewalk. He fell o the ground and you could plainly see most of her shots were slaps or didn't even land. I do like Pawn Stars, though. I've sent a request to Speed TV to be a contestant on Pass Time next time they come to Tucson, but with no race experience, I doubt they'll pick me

not as "scripted" as the others, and they know some stuff.. Agree on the repo, they had a couple of real dust ups, in the first episodes, but more fake than not now..
