So if you could only own one gun, and it had to be a Glock, which model would it be?

Glock 30

I had to decide between the glock 29 or 30. Both weapons are small enough to comfortably concealed(which was a main point of owning a handgun for me) and are both 10 round holders. The G30 being a .45ACP and the G29 being a 10mm, I would have to go with the G30 for the simple fact while both have a big enough caliber the, .45ACP is just easier ammo to come upon. Although the 10mm has always had a special place in my heart!

I like you choice of

I like you choice of calibers, but hate the sub compact glock frames.

G model #2

You can switch bbls in the model 23 if they have a conversion kit for it, but you can not put a 45acp bbl on the g-23 model. The 23 is 40 s&w only and may be able to use the 357 sig in it also.
Same as the sig sauer models in 40s&w p-226 the model 31 32 33 in glock is chambered for the 357 sig.

But a well thought answer Grease

glock

greasy- you can only go down in size... so with the g23, you can buy a .357 sig barrel, or a 9mm barrel or keep your .40. you won't be able to fit a .45 barrel, cause there isn't enough head space.
but.... my choice for my only glock...... would be a g21sf, cause you can put a 10mm barrel in, and you have 15 rds, of either .45acp, or 10mm. (i'm with you sytasyn, i love the 10mm). If i had to conceal it i would use a sholder holster.

this is messin with my head. I'm not sure now. I may what to stick to a g23, i've carried one for years and never had a single problem.
I'm just glad we live in a free country (for now) and I can buy as many glocks as I can afford.

Even though i do not own one, but i have shot them all of all calibers and sizes. My pick would be the g-17 9mm with 3-17 round mags any day of the week. My carry load would be the hornady TAP 147gr. and for back up ammo, 124gr.fmj Nato.

My favarite Glock is also my first Glock, an early G17. I know everyone says you need major caliber to be well protected etc, but I am quite comfortable with My 9mm. Col. Cooper would still tell me I need a .45 instead of a crunchentinker but I guess I'm bullheaded, and 9mm ammo is really cheap....

Hi - I just shot the G22 .40 but didn't like the way it bit my hand - the G17 was a much better fit for my rather large hands - gonna try the G34 next for compare - still a good choice though.

I own a g21 but would go with a 20 for the 10mm round. 10mm is good for deer, self defense, target and anything else you can think of. If I had to choose one handgun, 10mm auto

9mm is very inexpensive compared to most defense calibers, meaning you can practice, practice, and practice some more. The midsize frame is easily concealed and with the light rail is also suitable for a home defense weapon. Recoil is very light, especially compared to the .40. Overall, My opinion is that the G19 is the best overall handgun in the world.

Glock 19 redux

I have one, carry concealed and shoot the hell out of it. Takes most all ammo and is very reliable and very accurate. Weighs 23.5 oz. has a 4.02" bbl, mild recoil and bbl flip, but I am working on my grip and may get a ported bbl just for the range. It may not be pretty, but it is mine. I love it.

Glock 18C

If I could only have 1 - the GLock 18C
BTW - that is what was confiscated form Saddam Hussein when he was captured.
The 18C has a selector lever for full auto.

Until I can get one of those, I will settle for my G19 with Trijicon night sights.

I shoot my G34 a whole lot more than my G19, and it seems like those bullets magically hit whatever I shoot at. I'd prolly still go with the 19 because it's more compact, but the 34 is a great gun
