Final Finish
I ran across this outfit while looking for a place to shoot up here in the TX. Panhandle. I would like for some of our more seasoned sharpshooters to take a look and give honest feedback. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth! |

Hello Vaq,
At the risk of butting in ( & I hope I'm not) I have never used these but I used to have a friend who was an extreme long range & accuracy shooter. Him & his buddy's would lap new bores with that product & they did see an improvement, to what degree, I don't know?
Vaquero
I really want some feedback here.
Thanks Larry.
Larry Wagner
You bet Vaq, good luck on finding more info, let me know what you come up with.
Vaquero
I really want some of your opinions on this. It seems simple enough, does anyone have experience with this or similar products?
Reaper308
I checked the site out yesterday. It sounds like it has some merit to it.... like lapping, but I have no experience with them. I assume it couldn't hurt, right?
Vaquero
I drive through there every Friday and Sunday. I think I'll shoot them an e-mail and try to set up a visit. I shoot .75" or less @ 100 yd now. Of course I would like better, but, I just worry about having to start all over developing a new handload if my rifle responds adversly to the treatment. Does that make just a bit more sense than badgirl? I hope so.
HKBauer
THeerggwergrwrg! that made more sense then Her! LOL

Vaq,
I got ahold of the widow of one of the long range guys I used to know. She was a shooter her self & pretty knowledgeable. She say's Yes they do work just as I expected,Hell anything slicked up
works better. She says accuracy does improve, Velocity does go up, & to watch pressure signs closer than ever because pressures do go up. This is all assuming that all else is OK with your rig, Chamber, head space throat, crown, ETC ETC. She says she cant be sure but most likely for optimum accuracy some more work at the loading bench will most likely be in order, but she cant say for sure because her guys were constantly working up new loads searching for more distance with tighter groups. Just decided to give them a call, had not talked to them in 3 or 4 years, didn't even know he passed.
This is the best I could do Vaq, hope it helps some.
Vaquero
Thanks, sheesh! I can't imagine any more work at he loading bench than I've already done.
Purty damn good may have to be good enough. I got a lot of thinking to do.
Larry Wagner
Believe me, I know what you mean Vaq. I truly enjoy reloading, but there comes a point when enough is enough, I don't measure my groups with a laser, & a thousandth of an inch aint gonna matter to any living thing I'm shooting for, at any range
Vaquero
Thanks for your input and responses.
Yep, the press can be fun or tedious.
I reckon I'll stick with fun for a spell.
Larry Wagner
I second that motion Vaq.
