firestar m-40

I just recently got a firestar m-40 S&W..It was given to me to pay a debt and i haven't had an opportunity to fire it yet..Does anyone own or have fired one of these? Ive never come across a "star" firearm and just wanted some opinions as to if it was worth a damn..

Star is/was a Spanish maker of excellent firearms. I've owned their PD, a lightweight .45 ACP, somewhere between a Colt Commander and Officers Model in size. Excellent gun. I've used the Firestar in 9 mm (belonged to a friend), and really liked it. I would imagine that yours in .40 S&W will be fine.

Star pistols

I own several Star pistols and they are quality handguns, nothing to worry about.
