Hi everyone,

Im thinking about getting a FN FivesevenN, but Im a bit hesatant about spending 1k on a gun with fairly expensive ammo. Everything about it sounds great, accurate, hi cap, low recoil. I have held it and it feels great in my hand, and 20 rd mag makes it even better. This would be a ccw in cold weather. Has anyone used this gun, and what do you think about it. Where did you get it? how much? where do you get ur ammo?
All info appreciated, thanks

may want to consider over penetration if you're planning on using it for ccw. 5.7x28 gets some good velocity

well now, this is an interesting cartridge as far as ballistics go.the magazine capacities that are mentioned are exceptional but like reaper mentioned the overpenetration of this "hot rod" cartridge might be quite excessive to be considered for concealed carry.as far as the expense of the gun, well anything new always costs more and the availability and expense of the ammo is an issue too.i have said before that if you cant buy the ammo at walmart it aint readily available!for me,if i cant buy bullets, cases and primers and not find handloading data for this cartridge it is not for me.a case in point is the ruger .480,now the guns are discontinued.so what does that mean for factory loaded ammo?YAHTZEE!it means it will dry up too!unless handloaders run with it.so only time will tell for the 5.7!

Thats a good point it can penetrate ~11", and the avaliabilty would be a big issue. Oh well i guess ill have to find another fullsize hi-cap. Thanks guys
