Above is the link for one of the FNH PBR. Anbody have experiences or thoughts on this one? Only heard good things about this firearm, but nothing beats a solid gun on a Remington 700 platform or a good Mauser-style.

this is a great rifle! I agree about the 700 platform (thats what I used to) but FN makes great rifles. FBI has a contract with them and they have stricter accuracy requirements than usmc and army

Now that is what I want to hear! Again, Reaper comes through in the clutch!

I seen and hold a FN PBR XP 308 with a 20 inch barrel just 2 weekends ago. Very nice rifle, did not get a chance to shoot it. H & S Precision is making the rifles for the FBI. It is the Pro-Series 2000 HTR Heavy Tactical Rifle in 308 and you can get a rifle with a 10 round mag. (308 only).

this looks to me like a well built 98 mauser copy rifle with a muzzle brake.FN has a history of building great guns so this one should be awesome to say the least

Leupold, Schmidt & Bender, or Unertl for the scope? May be counting the chickens before they hatch...I haven't even looked at a price tag yet! Shoot, it might be cheaper to build an M40A3!
