i'd like a little help here. Looking for the best round/ load for my G23. It's my nightstand / home defence weapon.
but try Cor Bon 165 grain jhp. 1150 fps and 485ft lbs. that should put a serious hurting on a intruder. kind of expensive now a days.
i use federal hst 165 gr
Corbon DPX, Speer Gold Dot, Federal HST, or Hornady Critical Defense
I like 165 gr. Federal HST, 140 gr. Corbon DPX or 165 gr. Winchester ranger SXT. I try to stay away from the 180 gr. stuff because I dont trust the expansion coming out of such a short bbl.
The best load is the one that is most accurate in your particular gun. Buy a few different kinds and see which one your gun likes the most. I don't have a .40 anymore, so I don't know what all they have out there. If it's available, I suggest trying Speer Gold Dot HP Short Barrel load as one of the test rounds, and definitely a lightweight Corbon JHP.
hell of a profile picture son...lol.. but i can relate
