Reaper308
is always a good choice. you may want to check out the XD too (to see which feels best in your hand), but you can go wrong with a glock

Really like the XDM but it is about 120 dollars higher around here.
I am just looking for something RELIABLE that is a descent size to carry.
Also i feel that the 40 is plenty big enough if you ever need it.
I also feel that the Glocks are not pretty but I will pick reliable over pretty any time.
OOh yah i also heard that you should not use lead bullets in them because of fouling the rifleing. Is that true?
Reaper308
yes its true. lead bullets are not recommended. I have used them, but cleaned my barrel every few magazines. I would stay away from them.

You can't go wrong with a Glock! I'd also take a look at the Glock 22.

I agree with Reaper, you can't really go wrong with the 23. Glocks aren't the prettiest guns ever made, but they function flawlessly and are more accurate than my abilities, which really, makes them beautiful.

a Glock is perfect. Double your budget and there's more to talk about. :-)

Love my G23, but I am going to do some trigger work to make it smoother and faster.

I am looking for a good price on a G22, decided that was going to be my next buy.
runawaygun762
Nah, just kidding. The G23 is a great gun. Recoil in any 40 feels a bit snappy, but it's still easily controlled by most people.
