LOL I just stepped out the back door with no
ear plugs and poped off 100 38spl
Yep I know better ain't I a stupid fuck?
But it was fun and you wont always have
ear plugs when you need to shoot so
might as well get used to it.

Took my daughter to work and coming home saw
movement so almost stopped and a herd of swine
ran across the road. Most I've ever seen run together
here.

Went shooting

It felt good to get out, feel some sun on my face. After a mag or two I settled in and did pretty respectable. I took a stroll and found some deer tracks that were most likely from the evening before. Right along with those were cat tracks , big cat. It looked like the cat had come through overnight when the remaining snow had frozen back and firmed up, almost 4" across.
My buddy then told me of his Colt Peacemaker. 1st edition.
He bought it from a guy who needed money. Had it checked out and has a cert from Colt. SN indicates it was among the 1st 100 made for smokeless powder cartriges. Yeah, he shoots it. Go figure.
Shak, you find anything at the gun show? Was it at Will Rodgers collesium?

i am sooo. jealous of you...Just wondering though, if you came upon a big cat and shot it , would you get in trouble? out here we have coyotes and they are semi -protected...i would just love to be able to walk around and shoot out-doors without conciquence, must be nice.

I aint quite sure here in OK. I would shoot it, that's what we do back home. These folks still have a bounty on coyotes so I figure the larger predators are fair game too. For the record, a bobcat is the biggest cat I have killed. If I ever get a shot at a mountain lion, I'm taking it, no question.

Prices at the show

Not much in the way of deals. I think you're still better of going to a local shop that will deal with you. I didn't really save anything after I paid to park, get in, and had to go get a burger at Fred's while I was downtown! But it was fun and I got a new toy!

Gun Show

I admit I have never been to a gun show. Yet I do know where there is a gunshow at least every saturday as far as I know. At least I know the general area, Its at the Meadow View Convention Center which is in Bristol VA?TN? All I know is that they advertise on TV on local channels that I get. "Bring a gun, buy, sell, trade! Guns, knives, realoding equipment"

I know that this is a week or so old, but if coyotes are protected up there, and you want one, I'm sure there are plenty of folks out here that would let you get one. They are plentiful here in West Texas. I don't know if there is still a bounty on them or not, but I do know that they are often shot as a menace.

Damage from impulse noise can't be repaired. It's your hearing, your choice, but hopefully other people know better than to take that "train as you fight" mentality to that kind of dangerous extreme.
