Hope everyone is doing well. It was a very rough week on a lot of different levels for me, including the fact I can't buy the XD I wanted thanks to Obozo and Mr Turdinator. Trying to rebound......not enough beer yet....................

I'm pretty sure those restrictions were in place before Osama was in office. No, that's a cali thing. Speaking of cali, I see on the tops of my soda and beer cans the cash redemption value. How does that work? Do you have to show a cali driver's license or ID card, or can anyone go to a recycling center and turn the cans in? They go for 45 cents a pound down here, 65 in Tucson, but with 5 cents each for 12 oz and under, that's over a buck fifty a pound. That'd be worth loading up and driving a few hours if I get 400 pounds or so.

Here they go for 1.80/pd, you don't have to show ID. When you buy, they charge you the CRV, and when someone turns it in they get it back. You should see the idiots with a 1/2 ton truck piled 8ft passed the piece of shit truck side rails going down the damn freeway. I've never seen the CHP pull one over and give them a ticket for an unsafe load. F-g ridiculous what these bastards get away with including welfare. Actually on the news today, my fav talk show talked about how LA is sending more parking cops to the part of town where people don't contest getting parking tickets.

I am happy and sad for you ebear. First they all won their primaries, this is good! Second they are all politicians and you don't know if you lose until they are in office. Something about holding politicians (or as I like to call them LYING mf'rs) accountable even if they are in office would be great place to start. I would like there to be a "one strike" policy for these "politicians". You lie, You are OUT!

Yep, gonna have to make a trip. Course, I only have about 25 pounds right now, gonna have to wait a bit to be worth it.

runs, you should see the stink-eye I get when the guy turns in a Toyota truck full of cans for a hundred bucks or whatever. I show up with a 30 gal trash can full of copper and leave with 200.00 and I wink at them on the way out.....

Yeah, copper

I have a bunch of old wire and stuff, but it's illegal to strip wire in this state unless you're a contractor, which I am not. I call my can collecting "Marlow's Fix-A-Ford Program". I really want to go stand on a street corner with my truck near me and a cardboard sign that reads something along the lines of "Not homeless, not hungry, Ford owner, every little bit helps, God bless", but the wife says no. I'm pretty sure I'd make decent money getting handouts. Oh well.

I don't have very much

Just a bunch of old power cords and shit that everybody acrues. It's like 60 cents a pound here, which is fine. I'll get a couple bucks and clear out some space in the garage. I really need to start dealing drugs. We had a bunch of capsules here at the station found in a van registered to a guy in Douglas and they tested positive for heroin. i statrted thinking, if I could get 5 bucks a pop for them, that's over 400 dollars in one little sock. Man, street corner pharmacists really make some good money. Damn me for being honest.
