AKs

good:
russian (if you can find one)
polytech
bulgarian
lancaster (US manufactured Romanian parts)
arsenal (US maunfactured bulgarian parts)

not so great/I've had better:
WASR's

...just my opinion of rifles I've had experience with. I know there are people on here that have WASR's and love them. I have just found that there are better rifles out there in my opinion.

if you go for a WASR make sure you look it over real good. some are good, some are junk. mainly look at the barrel to make sure it is good, and check for front sight post and gas block canting. as for good WASR's, i have one and it shoots fine. 2.5in groups at 100yrds

How are these. I'm trying to work a deal but don't know much about any AK type rifle.

undeniable!!!

first question:how much?
second:look real close at the bore, both chamber and barrel since the Yugo's were not chrome lined
third:it is a cheap price and you think that greasypaws should have it(i will buy it from you!)

I could probably get it for about $350.00/value of traded items. You know, either or type of thing. He also has a Chinese Paratrooper. No mags. for the Yugo, I haven't seen it yet, he's bringing it to work tomorrow so I can look at it.

go for it, just check it out real good. the two that I've shot were pretty worthless (not that accurate compared to other AKs, poorly built, loose mag etc...), but as you can see, some others own them and love them. just make sure you get a good one.

Thanks, I could maybe talk him down, we were going through the high dollar sites for a current price estimate. GunBroker, Gunsamerica, and places like that. The Yugo has the rocket launcher with it, don't know the name of it, but he said something about a recess that may not allow a mag. in it. I'll tell you more about it after tomorrow hopefully but any information for now would be very helpful.

grenade launcher... not rocket. lol (and its just the flip up front sight, they had to remove the actual launcher before importation)

anyway, it will have an 10 rd. internal mag if it is in origional condition. if you want a hi cap external mag, you will have to do it yourself. you can find pretty good condition yugos for $300-$350 and unissued for $400

I knew when I looked back I screwed up, but doesn't rocket launcher sound so much more cool. I was picturing grenades in my head though.

I would go with the "excellent" condition rifle from samco ($289). after taxes and FFL shipping you'll be right around your $350 mark
