to me is that Lee had invited me to go with him and his buddy Randy
(the guy he was with), I don't own a snowmobile but Lee has several.
I declined as I had told the kids we were going shooting, the range may
well have saved my life, that very well could have been me.

Responding on this post as opposed to the target post out of respect for your friend.. This has been a rough year for Utah as far as avalanches. Seems like a week ago you had another major one with a number of fatalities.. Sorry about your friend, guess you can say he died doing something he enjoyed, but seems like a bad way to go..

Yep good you went to the range, bet the kids enjoyed it.. and good tight groups with the new piece.. Those are good looking groups under any condition.. and given that it was the first time out and dealing with wind im thinking your going to be real happy with that pistol..

Yes Greg

it has been a bad year, being in the back country at this time of year is
risky at best, I am not a winter sports kinda guy but snowmobiles are a
blast. Lee was a "high point" dude, sled ran on alky, nitrous etc. so he
may or may not have been doing things that he shouldn't.

yep the Walther is a nice little piece, I shot about 300 rds (not real sure
as daughter was blasting away with the ruger) no malfunctions what so
ever. Someone had dumped a mini fridge which my boys proceeded to
shoot to pieces with the black guns, over all it was a great day.

I saw the news of the death of your friend on the internet yesterday, in the SLC Tribune, the Deseret News and the Provo Daily Herald. I'm very sorry. My condolences to your, and certainly to his family.

Thanks Ed

I heard about it on the radio this morning but didn't know it was him
until I got to looking in the Tribune this morning.
