I was looking through gun forums and found this site. Looks like a good site with lots of information, video's, pictures and friendly people. I have been a hunter most of my life, but new to pistol shooting. My wife is also loving shooting. She has never been comfortable with long guns but loves to pistol shoot. We go to the range usually about once a week, great way to spend time together. Our 15 year old daughter likes to shoot also. The family that shoots together, stays together.

Thanks for the welcome. I am a shotgunner for deer, mostly hunt shotgun only zones, My Rem 870 has been my deer friend for many years, shooting 3 inch slugs. For pistols I own a Glock 19 and just bought a Mark iii 22/45 this week to have some cheaper fun at the range. My wife owns a Taurus slim 9mm. I also love turkey hunting, bow hunting and on occassion will chase a few pats around the woods.

Uncle Ted

Got love ole Ted, a bit off the wall at times, but stands up for what he believes in. One of the many good people from the state of Michigan, with all its problems, I love the state I was born in and will die in.

All your deer shots must be at a relatively close range. Last time I deer hunted in Kalifornication most all shots were 100 yds ++.
Your wish of dying in Michigan is greatly accelerated by visiting Detroit! lol
Hope you enjoy and have fun at Gunslot.com

I live in west Michigan, have never lived farther than 5 miles from lake Michigan. I don't think any of my deer have been shot at greater than 50 yrds. Amazes me how far guys can make hits with rifles. I have very little experience with rifles. Is it really hunting if the deer are 200 yds away?
We try to forget Detroit is part of the state. lol
