In an attempt to CON the people of the USA---just as the Obama administration did when the Benghazi debacle broke[it was caused by a reaction to a youtube video disrespectful to Islam] we initially were told the computer system used to launch Affordable Care Act sign-up help was having some "GLITCHs". This con, was a language gambit to make most of us believe that the difficulties were TRIVIAL, and everything could be fixed with a few program patches.
Fast forward to the present. The computer program "problems" appear now to be just short of catastrophic [as opposed to trivial], and I am betting it will take more than a year to fix, not to mention the additional millions of $$ expended, and the chaos of trying to get previous medical coverage reinstated for those whose coverage had been cancelled.
LET US NOW EXAMINE THE WORD "GLITCH", because under the sad circumstances of this failure, the "word" actually injects some ironic humor into the situation.
G L I T C H is an acronym which was invented by early pioneers in the computer industry:
Too old to fight, Too old to run, guess that's why I carry a gun! "would someone show this asshole the way out of town".[Rabbi Avram Belinski-aka "The Frisco Kid"]
