Sorry to hear of your state of existence. I put up with it for 57 years, then moved to Arizona.
What kind of guns you into. SF Bay Area originally, lived in Danville, Ca most of my adult life.
Hope you enjoy!

but man, I'd have to make a hell of a lot of money to live in that state
daisycutter

samD
No Castro jokes. He likes guns and shooting.

several years.
I went through shipboard fire fighting, scary shit! I did learn how to put out magnesium fires though, always handy to know :<)
daisycutter

remember hearing in the news about the couple that were screwing on the piano platform in Dodas, say about 1972,and the piano was on an elevating platform and squashed them when it went up to the ceiling

going into the embassy just to use the shitter is frowned upon.

an area that had a bunch of dressed up old fogies, 2 young and muscular guys in suits took us by the arms and "helped" us find our way to the fleet landing.
My shipmate was singing "sailor's whores and officer's wives don't give a fuck for nothing". I was too drunk to sing.

Those used to be the days, when SF was still mostly Hetero
daisycutter
I was living in Oakland and later Alameda when I was there.
Oakland WAS a little rough.
samD
for awhile. SF had it's moments. I saw many good concerts in the City. Janis Joplin, Creedence, Jefferson Airplane, Commander Cody and his lost planet Airmen, Journey, Doors.
Spent a summer there once.

my wifes dad was retired Navy. Everytime he was home
they spent time at the range with his 1911 and a few other
guns. She was born on a Navy base lol
daisycutter
had a name for it but it escapes me.
I think I went to more concerts in L.A. and San Diego than I did in Frisco. Saw Dianna Ross and the Soo-premes @ UCLA along with Hugh Masagala (sp) for warm up.

guns I'm into? pretty much all of them as selling in CA is such a hassle, that I one day discovered that I have a pretty sizeable collection.

My all time faves include a Steyr AUG, Uzi carbine, and a Calico M100. You should see the attention these get at my range visits. I have a few Cowboy Action weapons (CAS matches are really fun), but I'm also hopelessly addicted to WGerman SigSAUERs.
Can we post pics here?
Here are the ones, Cali decided to ban about 20 years ago. I'm proud to say i still have about 1/2 of these with me. About a half of them stay at family's places out of state (just in case).
PS. I live in the Sunset District, work in the Mission and my 1st part time job was working at the family liquor store on 18th St (in the HEART of the Castro) haha
CharlesW
Post all the pics you want to.
Bring about half of those guns to Texas
I have a private range

Welcome to the site from another Kali survivor! I love this site, hope you enjoy!

Thanks again... here's my latest acquisition.

Took some doing to circumvent the CA laws, but it's now home sweet home.

Been having router problems all day and having a hard time staying on.. Im one of the geezers this place has in abundance.. Think your going to be real happy here. We "non coastal" types obviously dont understand San Fran (ya think) but your obviously normal so a very honest welcome aboard..
So do you normal folks have a secret hand shake or anything to let each other know you didn't vote for Nancy.. Whats the scoop..
tonelar415
nah... as the job market sinks and these carpetbaggers leave, I see a chance to reclaim alot of lost ground.
then again, I'm conservative with my optimism.
Thanks for the welcomes... if we turn the tide in Cali, the rest of the country will benefit.
greg az
Part of the wonder of this country is the optimism.. I really think electing O was a shining moment where America showed the world its lack of prejudice.. Much as we all hated seeing good people duped by someone with no record out side of being a great orator, it still made me proud..
Obviously the nation now sees that the over reaching and over spending are roads to desaster.. Its a shame actually as i want (think we all do) health care reform.. but thats not what was on the docket..just more pandering to lobiest.. otherwise we would have free market ins, drugs available from Canada, and some form of tort reform..
I only hope we can somehow get term limits in (yeah i know, but you can hope)... Anyway. your going to love it here...Whole bunch of Alpha males who get along...funny as hell...good folks, including the boy (snake) i was just giving a hard time to.. really great site.. most of us are active or retired vets or LE.. DOC in my case.. anyway...welcome, and enjoy..
