Greg, it seems you and I are the only ones on the site. How did that happen?

I'm going to the gun show in Salt Lake tomorrow, if everything works out. "If the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise", as they say in the South. I hope to meet Hampster there; he said that he'll probably be there in the afternoon.

I don't have much at all to sell, and there's no particular gun I'm looking to buy, so it will be one of those trips when you just look/ogle everything, and wait for something to appear that you can't live without.

A Para Ord .45 with the LDA trigger system would be nice; the smaller and more compact the better. I'd rather have something single stack, so it's not so fat, and conceals better.

Of course, I wouldn't turn down a SIG P220 either.

were both in the same situation on guns.. not many we haven't had, but a lot we had we wish we would have kept.. One i never did have was a 39.. i had a 59, and just didn't like the feel all that well.. Don't know why, I'm real comfortable with hi powers, which are no smaller..

Sure would like to see you be able to help Hamp with some pistol values to match his rifle collection.. I know your going to be on the money about price values, and which of the old ones have ammo available.. Speaking of that.. Did you happen to catch that article on the Nagant that said you could use 32 S&W in it.. I had no idea till i read the article..

If i could find one piece id like it would be an old star on the 1911 format.. like the PDs maybe in 9MM... What would you be looking for..

I had a Star PD years ago, for a short while. I was still dealing guns then, and when I got enough money offered I sold it. I really liked it. Everybody back then thought it was too light (alloy frame), but I never did. It hung just like a 1911, and shot .45 ACP, so recoil was not a big deal.
Now I'd like to find a Star BM (steel frame) or BKM (alloy frame - which I'd prefer), in 9 mm. I think the BKM would be a great carry piece, like the Kahrs, except the BKM is single action. When I was dealing, I found a BM for a friend of mine from a distributor who was selling used police guns for $149.95. After I saw my friend's, and we both shot it, I called the distributor to buy every one he had left. Too late, he'd sold out.

Sam renamed snake anonymous (i get a kick out of that) and of course he had just cut and pasted a revue from somewhere, but it was good on the Nagant.. point is that in this revue it says you can use 32 S&W ammo.. I'm almost positve you made a comment after me about this same revue, so guessing you saw it as well.. price by the way is average J&G had them just a bit cheaper, but your stuff always looks like hand select..

I am a bit weary of buying when I can't see the exact gun, I kinda got burned on one of my 91/30s but it's my shooter so it doesn't matter. I wish the BATFE would hurry up with my C&R licence so I can save the $15 transfer fee, that just adds cost to the guns.
