I'm not so sure. Some times it's hard to know when to ignore asshats like that and when to keep shoving their face in their own shit. I don't think ignoring this guy would have worked. He seemed to be an attention whore. Probably cuz his wife left him and his kids and grandkids won't talk to him because he's such an asshole. Just a guess.

Okay I can believe two tours in Nam , his purported age would be about right. but the E-9 thing is kind of questionable. very few make higher than E-7 even after putting in their twenty. Most likely would have to put in time as a first sergeant, would mean, most likely, you worked in command and had exemplary service up until that time. Tank commander not so likely to get there. Sergeant Major puts you at the cream of the crop for enlisted men and relatively few make it I don;t think this Wilson guy had the demeanor to get there from his posts. Oh and Vaq, your Colonel friend if working as a civilian for the government was probably a GS-7, army officer would be O-7. I understand it is OF-7 now or that is the NATO ranking system is now, which would be a Lt. general, not a colonel. You weren't in the army, why would you have to know this. I would hate to think any Vet would be as big an asshlole as wilson was.

Just to give you an idea of how rare it is to make E-9, which wilson claims he was, there is normally only one per army battalion. That is including all E-9s, Sergeant Majors, Command Sergeant Majors, and the one Sergeant Major of the Army at any given time. So that my friends. is why the BS call on this guy is warranted.
