The recent border dispute between Costa Rica and Nicaragua is a sign of an ambitious plan by Venezuela, Iran and Nicaragua to create a "Nicaragua Canal" linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans that would rival the existing Panama Canal.

Costa Rica says that last week Nicaraguan troops entered its territory along the San Juan River – the border between the two nations. Nicaragua had been conducting channel deepening work on the river when the incident occurred

I thought it was NK but it was Iran.

We might act..

Not so sure that this doesn't have moral imperative over the "stan".. We have to act, and pretty sure O will do it.. We've never had a Democrat afraid to go to war..

Fact is more wars have started UNDER Dem leadership (LIKE F'N ALL OF THEM!) pretty easy to send someone to war, when the economy needs a kick start..

Not knocking this one.. Looks like an unprovoked attack, and we have a responsibility to defend and stop so our cause is just..

Will see you crazy cats later (providing little Kim doesn't drop one in the wheel house) we have to go down in Larrys part of the state today..

Pard.. i don't know how, but pretty sure this is all your fault.. see ya tonight, get manu to send us pics of girls from the bahamas and dont let snake join nothing that'l kiill him.. later all..

Condemned

He issued that at 4 this morning. A 3 paragraph reprimand. I think he shook his finger at them too.

type thrashing----the law of Talion---an eye for an eye. They sink a ship and kill 46 sailors......
we sink their biggest ship. They artillery bombard a village and kill and wound civilians........
we take out a whole city of theirs.....They might get the idea that their policy needs to be changed.

Well we all pretty much feel the same about he who shall not be named ( ive decided not call him by name anymore, or by title) but he would have to do somthing if our service members get attacked, and Kim El Loco is dumb enough to break the 57 year cease fire. I can see why he would attempt it though. After all our military has 0 help from our Gov leaders and thanks to that the whole world sees us as weak.

in South Korea and the troops there call themselves 'a speed bump'. If the North decides to invade, I doubt they will be able to hold out for long.

North Korea is the festering boil on the worlds ass. It may not kill you now, but it sure pops it's head up and gets inflammed regularly enough to cause you a pain in the ass. NK's policy has long been one of ratteling the sabers, and basically trying to hold the SOuth and the world hostage to get what it wants. Of course, now they are boasting of nuclear capabilities and we have been in diplomatic talks with them over this since 08, but it stalled way back in 08. My first thought is, if they want to use their nuclear capabilities as a bargaining chip to get whatever they want, then go bomb those facilities and level them out, and humble them a bit. I'm sure we know exactly where those big facilities are that are required to enrich uranium, you cant exactly do that work in your basement. Only thing is they are crazy enough to use that as an excuse to go full scale invasion on the south. And as someone said in a early post, our forces their would likely be a speed bump to the advancing hoards of north koreans. If any country needs a "regime change" in my opinion it's NOrth Korea. But, is this country willing to risk another war to send troops too? Probably not. And I seriously doubt Obama is. That's just my thought, I'm no analyst.

i read an article

just a bit ago on NK,i guess the embargos are causing them to beat on SK some, and supposidly NK has around 8-12 nukes but not much of a delivery system,i don't know what others might have heard about that,i do know the US has 25,000 troops on the DMZ,and they are well trained troops too.

If NK and SK

get into it,China will swoop down and take over NK,and the US will let them. The US will just have to hold the DMZ. Politically it would make sense for China to do that, with approval from The US and Russia I'm sure, call it a chinese peacekeeping mission.

First off tired, and going to go watch "shep" and see whats up.. Just got off the phone with Gary, and he said the N have basically told us to go pound sand.. and if we (or the S) pull anything aggressive thier going to head south in mass.. hmmm..

Going with Brads statement, i just read an IAEA critique (they always send these things to me first.. im sorta humble bout telling you all this) anyway guess the inspector said he saw (this is for real) 1K centrifuges.. guess thier peaceful now but.. just saying...

Luckys right about our troop strength, and our boys could be buckling for dust if the heads on this coin turn up wrong.. I'm with Bob about Talmudic eye for eye thing.. Pretty sure the end result "IF" we wind up throwing down is that thier will be ONE Korea.. This aint your dad's Vietnam on this one.. (i know, im very quotable.. thats why you all put up with me )

Serious here the issue in Nam was the people were all pretty much opposed to occupying forces.. French, then us, and Uncle Ho had more respect by all than what ever dictator of the month that we put into power..

We all knew how that one would turn out.. im thinking the North are looking at thier brethren to the South, and its wealth and saying .. yeah we could go for that..

Ok my friends sorry for the drive by dribble.. just wanted to touch base, say hi, and warn you that i will return.. (the whole Pacific thing has me talking like MacArthur)
