GS Site Issues? Or nazi network admins?
I haven't been able to get to the site since my last post yesterday. I kept getting 'Website not responding or unavailable' Or something like that. Of course, this was at work. Now I'm at home and I connect no problem and see others have posted since yesterday. Did anyone else see issues? Or do I need to talk to my network guy and tell him that this is a mission critical resource? :D It's kind of a shame too. I had the greatest post ever worked out. I resolved the 9mm/.45acp, 5.56 v 7.62 debates. Had a thorough definitive answer for why comparing the AK to the M16/M4 is apples to oranges and defined the merits and roles of both. Had witty anecdotes that would make all the emos erupt with joyous rapture and would cause immediate world peace. Solved the worlds energy desires/resources mismatch. Figured out how to never let a child go hungry again. Not to mention how to train your dog to use the head, flush it, and get you a beer on his way back. Do you use the same browser at work and at home? I have seen IE be troublesome for some (including myself) in the past, firefox etc. I have had no problems today.

Hamp, Yeah, I only use FF. F*ck IE! Right in it's filthy, whore mouth! (I dislike IE a bit, BTW)
I have a feeling one of the network guys saw all the activity to this site and pulled it's DNS entry. I might try hitting it by IP to see if that's the case.
Vaq, it wouldn't be the first (or last) time I did something and wondered how long before the Black SUVs with MIB came rolling in.

The sights IP Address.... Filtered it out with a generic error response.

Looks like that's the case. I think they added it to our websense filter. I need to talk to one of the network guys and see why. We're not strict on our policy here and it shouldn't be a problem.

I had the same problem about a week ago. I couldn't get on from work, but everything was fine from home. It only happened a couple days and everything is fine now. I'm not sure what caused it, but I know it wasn't blocked by IT guys. If it was and I find out, I'm gonna shit can them!

My workstation has been weird the last few days and I am wondering if some of my local profile settings have been jacked. A few of the applications I normally use have lost some preferences and settings. I might just see if a system restore to a few days back fixes it.
