i was looking on cheaper than dirt and saw a gun case that looked like a zip lock bag. has anyone used this sort of case and whats the difference between that and a zip lock bag to prevent rust, dust, and corosion.

I have read that you shouldn't keep a piece completely sealed (unless it is packed w/ desicant). Air cirulation is a good thing, unless you live in the middle of a jungle! Having said that, short term, it probably doesn't make any difference which you buy.

It's too late for me, save yourself.

yeah, when i got my taurus it was wrapped in a plastic bag that says " to prevent rust and corrosion, so it still keep it in the bag when its not in use.
