Fire it allot but dismanle it for a full cleaning every 500 rounds. Plus, Plenty of lube while firing.
DEMO
Before fireing the gun, Run a bruch through insuring to not let the rod score any metal. Run a patch through with a good gun oil.
If a semi auto- break it all down, spray with gun oil (reminton spray is good), let set for a while. Wipe everything down. Leave a light coat but no visible oil 'puddles'. Reassemble. Break in the weapon with some standard ammo 100-200 rounds. If you are experiencing some stovepipes, jams try buying a few boxes of different ammo to see what feeds the best. Cost does not matter, the gun likes what it likes.
