Safes

There are many good safes out there, word to the wise. When I bought mine, I thought it was plenty big enough to hold the guns I had and the guns I would buy. Guess, what, it is now not big enough. So, even though you make think it is big enough, go bigger you will thank me later.

Safe

I have a finished basement/man cave and put my safe there. It was so heavy, I had to get my farmer friend from up the road to send over 5 of his "seasonal workers", (mexicans) to help me out. It only cost me a 12 pack of coronas. The Cabellas in Hamburg, PA loaded it onto my truck, I should have thought abot how I was going to get it off first, lol.

i bought a safe today

bought a summit sierra SS28-T - 33 x 60 x 25 - 900 lbs. 95 min 1400 degree fire rating and 3 fire seals
i really wanted the mckinlymodel with higher fire rating and the option for a thicker interior steel liner than the sierra model, but i need one now and i didn't want to hold myself up on security now for a little extra security in the future.hope i made the right decision.i think i did.the guy who "sold it to me" informed me after the sale that it is better than the one he has.best salesman ever, helpful, but not at all pushy,i had to keep asking to see more secure more expensive models.

safe interior
this is the long gun storage on the left side of the safe.right hand side is configured the same way but with optional/customizable shelves provided for those like myself have a mix of some guns cash& keepsakes to be stored

finally got it.super stoked too! it holds all my present long guns on one side leaving half the safe for ammo and other knickknacks until my collection of long guns grows a bit.the motion activated light system is a fucking joke though…ill call about it on monday, and have it replaced

Light

I added a battery operated light to the inside, a automatic light would have been nicer.
