Thought I bought a gun today when I got the confirmation back from GA - only to find it was already sold. Heard bad things about GA. Now I know why. Anybody have better luck with them?

I've never bought from them (actually I think I've only bought one gun online) but that seem like really bad business. You can't go around selling guns that are already sold... oh wait, apparently you can, anyone remember stevenhh?

Yep, guess there's always a bad apple hanging in the tree...but this is a established "business"...not too hard to say the gun is sold rather than having guys waiting around thinking they got the deal AND while I'm waiting - missing other deals I coulda had!
I have bought several guns from GB and AA with no problems. But then again, they tell you whether a gun is sold - right when its sold!!!.....

So have I - just never on GunsAmerica - my point is - Its not the sellers, but the system. GunsAmerica doesn't care about the buyers because the seller is paying them. So what if the seller gets 5 bids/offers on the same gun? - the seller gets his money and so do they. Meantime the buyers are thinking they have a deal (all 5 or 10 of them). Gunsamerica is the only place I know that allows multliple "winning" bids ON THE SAME ITEM! (Telling the next bidder they "won" when the item has already sold). I've heard iffy things about GA (not the sellers) - just never experienced it til now.
