I just wanted to jump in and give my thoughts on what has been going on with moderators and everything.
Marvin and I have always had the intention of growing Gunslot to be a free and open gun community where anybody can come in and talk about whatever they like. We are both staunch supporters of allowing everybody to have their voice even if they disagree with you. After all, this is America and we do have the 1st Amendment. I obviously have more conservative views like most of you guys here, but if somebody comes in and says something to the contrary I think it should be handled intellectually rather than just deleted.
That said, there have been a few cases here (not just recently either) where posts have been removed due to people questioning things and coming across with challenging views. I'm all for deleting spam and keeping that type of content out, but removing posts just because you don't like what they said isn't right to me, or the founding fathers.
So that's my thing. And it really hasn't even been that prevalent or an issue on the site. It has happened a few times so we decided we should send a message to a few moderators just to let them know our thoughts.
Moderators have not had any power deducted. We simply told them that they should really only be deleting spam and not posts they disagree with.
Hopefully that clears things up a bit. We look forward to growing Gunslot into the future and thank everyone for all their support.
