Hamp's new nagant
I was the winning bidder on this pup this morning, $119 shipping included. This example was MFG at the Izhevsk arsenal in 1938, I am just waiting for my FFL to get back to me and we will get it shipped. I am excited as I am really developing a liking for these old military weapons. Nice hamper, when you get it check the bore. I bought 4 of them reconditioned by russia.......all bad bores, made me sick.
Reaper308
now you'll need the M38 and M44!
HampsterW
and inquired about it and he says bore is good, but you know how that goes. These guy's on gunbroker don't get positive feedback for selling shit but we will see. I am also bidding on a pristeen polish piece as well, I posted it yesterday....here it is again.
Nitris
yeah just don't want to see ya get bit.

I never was fond of the russians but I admit the Nagants are great rifles.

I hope your Nagants are in great shape, and are great shooters for you. The 7.62x54R is a good round, and you should enjoy shooting them.
HampsterW
these rifles fall into my 'collection' catagory more than anything, even if the bore isn't that great, I will love them just the same. I have plenty of weapons to shoot that will not wear out in my lifetime......however, it would be nice to put a few rounds down range with such a piece of history!

I agree. I have a couple of old things that aren't at all practical nowadays, but I'm attached to them and like to shoot them.
I started deer hunting with an unmodified Springfield 1903A3. Worked just fine. The deer didn't know if he was hit by that, or by some handmade, custom multi-thousand dollar rifle. He just fell down.
Wish I had the old Springfield, but my dad traded it many decades ago.

Hope ya have fun with it! Got my SKS this week, and will be at the range at sun up on saturday!

Cool Hamp, and the one with the folding bayonet is very cool

I have been interested in the Nagant. It looks like you have acquired more inheritance for your children.
