Handguns TV on the Sportsmans Channel
Does anybody watch this? I no longer have a TV or cable. Finally got sick of TWC and kicked them to the curb. No use for tv's after that. The reason I ask is that I have been selected for a 3 day "Handguns Hotshot Weekend Seminar" hosted by Aaron Roberts from this show. It is being held in Carthage, NC near Pinehurst. I am trying to figure out if it is a scam or the real deal. Looks and sounds real from what I have found. Thanks for the help. Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth. Thoreau |

Reaper308
but if its a real show, I probably saw it a while back. I was on a sportsmans channel kick for a while. I know I used to watch Guns & Ammo, Personal Defense TV, and American Rifleman (I think). They also had a show on military weapons, but I can't remember the name. Anyway, It can't hurt to show up, right?

They should probably call it "Gunsite Advertisement TV". The hosts know nothing and many of the segments they show include instructors trying desperately to show some new technique that they came up with that's not even close to as effective as "The same old thing". Ayoob should have his own show and Dick Metcalf should stick to hunting shows like Modern Rifle Adventures.

An 84 year old Vet wrote in asking about shooting
1,000 yard targets. He was a sniper in WW11 with
an 03 Springfield.
Instead of trying to explain it they sent him to
Ft Benning sniper school to see for himself.
After some instruction on the new sniper guns
they let him try his luck at 1,000 yards.
The old fart fired 3 rounds and had 3 head shots.
By the way he lost his right leg at the knee in Germany
GOD BLESS HIM

I did see a cable show recently....can't remember the name but it was a group of folks who were goin through a Ruger-sponsored pistol course at Tacpro just west of me.
Bill Davison at TacPro knows his stuff and has seen the elephant to boot. Different from a lot of CONUS training since he's a Brit, but solid no-BS training. It was interesting to see the various problems people had with different portions of the course (cover, movement, etc.).
It was also hosted by Gerald McCraney, who gets huge points for being a pro-gun actor/celeb, as well as the cooler Simon brother.

They should call it the FUBAR Agency.

I can see something like that happening since the left hand never seems to know what the right hand is doing.
