Great article...take a read.

January 02, 2010
White House advisor briefed on 'underwear bomb' in October
Rick Moran

Newsweek follows up its story on Obama being informed of a Christmas terror plot with the story that White House counterterrorism advisor John Brennan being briefed about the kind of bomb used during the holiday attack:

White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan was briefed in October on an assassination attempt by Al Qaeda that investigators now believe used the same underwear bombing technique as the Nigerian suspect who tried to blow up Northwest Airlines Flight 253 on Christmas Day, U.S. intelligence and administration officials tell NEWSWEEK.
The briefing to Brennan was delivered at the White House by Muhammad bin Nayef, Saudi Arabia's chief counterterrorism official. In late August, Nayef had survived an assassination attempt by an operative dispatched by the Yemeni branch of Al Qaeda who was pretending to turn himself in. The operative had tried to kill the Saudi prince by detonating a bomb on his body, but stumbled on his way into the prince's palace and blew himself up.

[...]

U.S. officials now suspect that Nayef's attempted assassin and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian suspect aboard the Northwest flight, had the same bomb maker in Yemen, intelligence experts tell NEWSWEEK. At the briefing for Brennan, Nayef was concerned because "he didn't think [U.S. officials] were paying enough attention" to the growing threat from Al Qaeda in Yemen, said a former U.S. intelligence official familiar with the briefing. (A senior Saudi official told NEWSWEEK Saturday that "we don't have any concerns that the U.S. government isn't sufficiently concerned about Yemen. In the latter part of the Bush administration and in this administration, the U.S. has been very focused on the dangers emanating from Yemen.")

Not. This guy is ripping our country apart at its very roots. If it happened I would watch it over and over on the news, hell I might even through a party. To compare the loss of an American flag to the loss of this traitor is almost un-American.

Not a fence sitter, and not smart.. I know there are two sides to this argument. Believe me, i hate what he's (and they) have done to our country but he's also POTUS.. Much as we may hate it, and i took an oath to protect him and this country i still value.. The other thing is before you really wish something to happen to Obarry, ask yourself if you want Biden and or Nancy as an alternative.. We have to be patriots, and patriots protect the POTUS.. Now lets do all we can to change him..

a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.

I would bet you money that there are more that agree with me here on this forum then agree with you. So go ahead and log off guns lot and throw yourself a party for the downfall of this great country for this so called president of yours.

He isnt even eligable to be our President, it just that we can not find any judges with spines enough to put him before a court. If being a patriot means I have to back him them I guess I am something else all together. As for our choices if he was gone they are not any better, but at least they are citizens of this great country. Our Constitution written for a reason and we all stand back and let the politicians rip it apart. If you can think of a way for us to "Change" I am open to sudgestions.

Toosk did I once say..

That I was going to do the deed? No I didn't. I said I would love to see someone else do it. To say I was going to do it myself would be untrue and far fetched and not to mention foolish.Even if the secret service was to read my post a quick background check they would know what kind of person I really am. I would not miss him in the least, and it would be no sweat off my nose. With your stance I can see why samD would delete your post. If this is your stance go somewhere that you fit in better.May I sudgest obamaforum.com all those people there will welcome you with open arms.

Free speech does not exist on this site, Toosk. It's a privately owned and moderated site, and your right to free speech doesn't apply, which is why you can't sue samD for violating your civil liberties when he deletes a comment. As for wishing death on Obama, there is nothing wrong with that at all. While I am absolutely opposed to using violence to try and change the direction of this nation at this point, I wouldn't shed a tear if he died. I know much better Americans who have died in the service of this nation, and the Community Organizer in Chief does nothing to honor those citizens by bowing to a sheep herder and apologizing to the world for who we are. He is an embarrassment to us all and while I wouldn't take steps to harm him or any other elected official, I would celebrate his death, as well as that of about 536 other people I can think of, as a better day for America. gregaz, I don't know what oath LEOs take, but my oath says nothing about protecting the POTUS. I have to obey his orders, but not protect him.

I guess they didn't like me inviting them to attempt to rob my house and telling them I'd let one live to tell the story as I ate the flesh of the others. Oh well. I have read that theobamaforum.com is actually a spoof site started by white guys to show how dumb libs can act, but I got booted, so I guess if it's a joke, they really want to stay in character.

you ever notice?

That when samD deletes a scumbags posts it makes whomever was debating with them look like a complete crazy ranting and raving.

That site is populated by the real losers who don't have a coherent thought between all of them. I never got mad, I had fun with them, realizing they were primarily uneducated morons waiting for the Messiah to hand down more welfare. BTW, I think a terrorist hanging a pair of underwear with boom boom around the Messiah's neck would be a good way to demonstrate that talking to them isn't effective.

You see some of the threads where it looks like I'm going off on bearmeat or some other lib, a lot of the time, I really was ranting and raving, and I can just blame samD. It's like when I wear the Bluetooth piece in my ear that doesn't work and start screaming at myself in Wal_mart. People assume I'm arguing with someone over the phone, but they really don't know that they have an armed lunatic in their midst. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

All he can pick on is somebodies incorrect use of the English language. Yet with all his worldly education, the best he can do is answer phones for Cabelas, everyones favorite store... LOL

Un-American

What a bunch of shit. We're Americans through force of arms. Talking to the Brits didn't work, so out came the guns. Americans are violent. I think the mental image I get of some camel jockey raghead hanging a pair of dirty, Semtex filled skivvies around the Messiah's neck as he bows is humorous. It's not Un-American, it's funny. And that stupid word isn't really a word anyway. Nice grammar.

They're overpriced on about everything. That's why they have so much stuff in stock. Like Big Five sporting goods. And no mike, I don't mess with Wally World employees. We go through the Great Beaner Invasion every weekend, with people coming north to shop here, so I mainly just walk around screaming at myself and throwing in little meskin phrases every so often. It's interesting what kind of looks you get when you stop in the coffee pot aisle and scream, "Goddamnit, la jaqueta es caliente en el bano!!" I dunno if I spelled it right, hopefully my meskin grammar isn't too bad.

Come on, let his posts here stay for a bit. I need to read what he puts so I can argue intelligently. Otherwise I have to argue intelligently with myself, and eventually one side runs out of arguments, so the fist fight begins. It hurts, man. It hurts.

I'm sure Cabela's has an excellent retirement program. I think it's called the 401(get the fuck out and go be a door greeter at walmart) plan, right? Some people's kids. By the way, I think I've asked before, but where does the ' go to show the possessive form of the word people? I had to put the ' because I can't spell apostrophe. But people is plural, so it would go all the way at the end, but people doesn't end with an 's', so it would separate (or is it seperate?) the word from the 's', right? I('m so confused. I don't want to be made fun of. Calgon, take me away.

I think all you old fuckers need to relax, take your Metamucil, and count your blessings that you haven't been run over yet. Toosk simply got off on the wrong foot, I'm sure she's a patriotic young woman, she just had a difficult time expressing her views and things were taken out of context. I say give her the benefit of the doubt and let her try again.

Huh? stomping it?

This is an internet forum, Toosk. You do realize that, right? It's physically impossible for me to stomp any part of your body because we're not in the same place. I was using a figure of speech, not speaking literally. I think perhaps you should go get a drink of water, maybe wash it down with a couple pills. I don't want to damage your world view, but this forum is not reality. It's an online message board. We're not actually in a Lot of Guns right now. How do I do this delicately? I don't know.

Too much of an ass?

I think it's called backpeddling. I think you tried to argue with hillbilly, expecting everybody else to side with you, then when you didn't get the support you expected, you threw a tantrum, then you got gang-banged (again, not being literal here), and now you're trying to turn it into some sort of good-natured back-and-forth. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

Honestly, I expected everyone would think along the lines of "Hey, even though he's a fuck up, he's our President and wanted him killed is fucked up", but then Sam kept deleting my posts, and well you and Hillbilly kept taking things out of context and kept assuming. Then it got into personal attacks, but if Sam would've stayed out of it I know it would have went smoother. As for me "backpedaling", I honestly thought you were joking with your post calling me a woman. I didn't think you would insult women by associating me with them if you were actually pissed. I'm not sorry though so if any of you want an apology go fuck yourselves. Thank you

What did I say about Global Warming, that wasn't true? I'm an Al Gore Fan.
I am used to the cold winters when 10 degrees is a heat wave, before Global Warming. Now it's still in the 30s in January. It's a mild winter for NE Iowa, and I prefer straight Pablum, if we're drinking, but Momma don't let me drink. Now Obozo Kool-Aid is my favorite...

I always prefer Newcastle but when the store was sold out I bought the Bud Ale, tasted like light machine oil, gave it to the neighbor, he thought it was great. He's a machinist and used to machine oil.

I just love my own humor.. Don't think i'll ever forget that goofy rant, I'm with Cutter, think its time for the beer conference or whatever they called it..
All i know is i go to do my chores and miss all the fun. Sorta wish i could have heard toosks goofy rant before Sam deleted them, but glad he did his job. Toosk, as i was getting off you were nailing Hillbilly for his grammer.. Thats a no no son.. Not cause i'm in the same catagory, but cause you don't slam someone based on thier ability to comunicate. Just like you don't elivate an openion cause it's comunicated well.
As to the debate, I don't know at what time a POTUS does something that makes him an enimey.. Maybe its declairing martial law on us, i'm honestly not sure, I do know that till he's declaired by...looking for the word here.. US i guess.. the People of this land.. anyway till that time he's our POTUS and i do believe the oath we all took while maybe it didn't specificly say defend the President.. Come on.. I live in the real world, and to me it means we defend his sorry ass till he's defeated. If that pisses ya all off ..guess what FUCK YA.. and I'm saying that as someone who honestly values all your friendship..and I'm not bull shitting about any of the above.. yeah specially the friendship thing..

a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.

It will only cement him in our nations history...first black President, assassinated, he will become a martyr, race relations will really go to shit and if it was a white who did it, then there could and probably will be race riots in all the big cities. Then on top of all of that, Biden will be in charge and he is a friggin' idiot...and Pelosi will be next in line--just bad all around. I would rather just see him fail, completely on all fronts, with the least amount of pain and agony to the American populace. I prefer Barry talked about in the same conversations with Carter, not with John Kennedy! My thoughts and yes runaway, we promised to protect and defend the constitution...not the POTUS, that's the secret service's job...not sure about LE.

I too, want him to fail along with his admin. This would be the best situation to prove to the libs they are wrong, if they haven't figured that out already.

Agreed, Pkato

But if a raghead hangs HE Hanes around his neck, it's not the fault of anyone other than ragheads, right? No, it'll still be whitey's fault somehow, I'm sure.

Apology?

No thank you. None needed. And what did hillbilly or I take out of context or assume? I think you were the one who took things out of context. At no point did hillbilly or I threaten to do that, as that would be a felony. I think, although I don't speak for hillbilly, that we agreed it would not be a bad thing if the Messiah died. I still believe it would be a good thing for America. Then of course you busted out with the Un-American thing, which is absolutely absurd and you would know that if you'd paid any attention in American History. As for me fucking myself, if I could, I might, but I'm not sure if that would make me gay, or if it would be the same thing as jacking off.

I can't see a Muslim acting that though...why would they? I think they like having Obama in office, although Obama (to his credit) has kept up and actually increased the predator attacks...I gotta give him credit for that at least.

Probably not, Pkato

I think Obama is doing that in hopes of gaining some votes for dems in the mid-term elections, but he's not going to commit to too much strength because he wouldn't be able to draw back as quickly as he wants after 2010. I guess he sees the UAVs as being a better choice than those evil things, American troops.

Toosk, I can remember

my posts without going through them here. Try and remember which one I took out of context. You can even try to make something up, but I'll know if it was an original post or not. Go.

It's not that long ago. Hell, I've been through explosions that rattled my brain enough that I can barely remember what day it is sometimes, and I can remmber what I wrote in the same thread. Now sure, I may not remember much about my first few thousand stupid posts, but it's the same thread. Could it be because you never made any point that we could have taken out of context? Only point I recall you making is that it's wrong for us to wish death upon the POTUS. I didn't take that out of context, I disagreed. Come on, son, defend your position.

as it has gone past the first page, too many people have posted replies as opposed to posting in chronological order (I am guilty this time too), and it's just gotten dumb. Toosk is obviously not going to recover from his amnesia and intelligently defend his point, so I'd like samD to delete my comments on this thread, if for no other reason than to make navigating it a bit easier for others. AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!! Huh?

I would not try to hurt him, but if he died, I think it would be a better day for our nation. You're either full of shit, lying about not remembering what you put, or you don't put any thought into your posts and therefore don't know what you're talking about. Obama's actions go beyond politics to me. Politics to me is something like deciding whether to keep the stars and bars on the state flag. Nobody is alive from the civil war, it doesn't directly affect someone's right to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness. Using the police power of the government to enforce increasing taxes that take from the productive members of society to give to the rest directly affects those rights. Punishing the successful citizens by increasing their taxes, treating small business owners (responsible for the majority of jobs in this country) as if they were evil rich people making their fortunes on the backs of the rest of us, is not a political issue. it's a lifestyle issue. Supporting a permanent AWB, even though all objective studies show we are safer with guns than without, apologizing for the arrogance of this great nation to the very countries we have helped in their times of need and continue to support is not a political statement I disagree with. it's an embarrassment and it gives heart to our enemies, who look for any sign of weakness. I won't go as far as to say he's a traitor, because if I thought that were so, I would take a much more active role in his removal in any way necessary (assume or infer what you want), but he is bad for our nation and if he died, I would rejoice.
