Now, make a few copies of that sucker (DD214) and keep them in different places.
I have yet to see the copy I sent paper work into the VA Records in Saint Louis for, and that was almost 3 years ago.
I've had letters explaining about the over load of requests and all kinds of other excuses. But not my DD214 copy...
Hey, and thank you for service Mr Retired !!

Did 20 years, 7 months, and 21 days. The Army gave me a medical retirement. All the same benefits, plus I get the good parking spots. Lol! I was looking at retiring anyway, didn't like the direction the Army was going, neck injury just sped up the decision making process. And yes, stationed at Ft. Hood.

You won't take them Ronin.. Also "gifted" with one of those "plastic" things..My wife gets mad every time i by pass up a spot.. told her when the time comes and im in a "chair" we will be happy..
I had the same early out situation.. did a bit less than 20 with AZ DOC.. sort of a blessing tho..a couple of "use of force" investigations didn't go my way (common if your doing your job) and i would have had an extra month or so "make up" time that would have been frustrating.
Daisy.. morning Lou.. "lifer" thing above.. ha ha.. Not me buddy.. back then i couldn't wait to get out...Sure you remember how it was in 1971..and the pay rate back then.. What we were making like 25 dollars more per rank than our fathers did in WWII .. missed the big jump, and getting out ranks up there in the "big mistake" grouping.. Just think i could have done 40 retired as a command master chief.. just stoped wearing the uniform after 40 and still have the same check.. Either that or reality.. RIF'd at 20 as an E-2 early happy new years to ya..

why your SMELLY whooped up on ya. Do you know what the bullet weight is that you're using? The Limeys used 174-215g bullets-OUCH!
You can use the same bullet used in AK47's & SKS's. They are 124g.

Yep., just one of the reasons i can't fire it well off hand..If i get serious with it.. and actually love the rifle.. it's going to wind up with a scope and one of those neat o keen folding (Harris maybe) bi pods..
Hey .. stead of the crutches on the bad days.. i wonder if i could maybe stick a suction cup on the end of the barrel and maybe use the smelly...you're a fart smeller buddy.. woops.. smart feller..
will try to make the smiles more sophisticated next year..
