Here's wishing everyone out there a happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and a very Happy new year! This is from all the military folks over here and the other theaters! Your support has been fantastic!
I went in the army during Vietnam(not over there) and was called a murder and baby killer like the others. Thank God those days are gone! It does make it easier being gone when we know that we are welcome when we do get back!
I have always refused to observe the holidays when I'm on this side of the world. Seeing your post here, brings home closer to here. I haven't had a Thanksgiving or Christmas at home for awhile, but this has become my home away from home. I'll be on here Thanksgiving day! It will be the next best thing to being there.

I was on active duty from

I was on active duty from '73 until '77 all four years in the 101st. we were still on Jump status when I went in. I went back as a reservist after my divorce. I got used to the nagging, but didn't want it full time.
I'm hoping to be home by Christmas, and I've already put my retirement papers in. I thought I was in the Reserves, until 911. I remember going on my first tour when my youngest daughter started first grade, I hear she's in the 7th now. Time fly's when your having fun.
