have to stop The American Hunters and Shooters Association
The American Hunters and Shooters Association Anti-gun organizations posing as pro-gun organizations will be a threat as the elections in November get closer. One such organization is the American Hunters and Shooters Association (AHSA). They played a role in the last election and tricked some gun owners into voting for President Obama. The Buckeye Firearms Association first warned about the American Hunters and Shooters Association in June of 2006 in an article called "A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing." AHSA will continue to strengthen its ties with anti-gun legislators and to raise money for its cause. Remember, their real cause is NOT to fight for the Second Amendment; it is to slowly erode it away. Unless they are stopped, they will continue to play a large role in getting anti-gun candidates elected. We must work hard to reveal their true colors to the average gun owner. "I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy." |

"A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed"
These 27 words protect the rights of Americans to own and use guns. The American Hunters and Shooters Association is committed to these words and the ideas and principals behind them. Protecting our homes, preserving our liberties, hunting, and sport shooting are American values that AHSA will vigorously defend.
But, there is no constitutional right to arms for criminals, terrorists, or others who seek to abuse the very freedoms the Constitution guarantees.
According to legal memoranda filed in court by the United States Justice Department, the Second Amendment allows for the passage of reasonable laws designed to keep guns out of the wrong hands.
Under the Constitution and laws of the United States, gun ownership is a protected right. But it is a right that when exercised requires the utmost in responsibility and vigilance.
In formulating AHSA legislative policy the AHSA Board of Directors will always weigh the common sense interest of hunters and shooters against basic safety and security interests of our community at large. In this way a rational, well thought out approach to firearms policy will be developed and promoted.

Who gives a fuck what memoranda the DOJ files? Fuck them! I'm a bit of a dummy, but I'm pretty sure the second amendment says "...shall not be infringed".

their site is just loaded with little innuendos and twists,in one article they called hunters Nimrods, now by definition it is a hunter, but also by definition its a stupid person. They also have a bumper sticker that says "pro-gun,pro-obama" fuckers

but as many of pointed out...they cannot defeat us idea vs idea, which is why they use the courts, lawsuits etc--inlcuding deception as seen above off their website. It's funny...but if you think about it, we shouldn't be restricted, unless of course we are convicted felons, mentaily incapable, etc. But ALWAYS the question that should be asked when ANY law is proposed. Exactly how is this going to stop criminals from using / obtaining guns? You know, my first step fix to the situation would be this:
IF YOU USE A GUN IN A CRIME, IF YOU POSSESS A GUN (EVEN IF NOT USED) WHILE COMMITTING A CRIME, ETC YOU GET A 25-50 YEAR SENTENCE, REGARDLESS.
Now, when I say a crime, I am not saying jaywalking...you know what I mean, there would need to be details, but people using guns for illegals purposes should be punished and having a crime in say a car jacking or some shit should merit very strict sentences, I believe this would go a long way in stopping a lot of people...not all of course.
One big problem I have is that people who commit rapes, child abuse, etc...they don't get enough jail time.
