The NRA sent a couple instructors to GTMO last week, where they gave a class to some squids on tactical rifle. These dipshits got NRA certified as Tactical Rifle Instructors. The Navy never put out that these people were coming, never told any of us about the training, nothing. Fuck these asshats. I could have fired some rounds and got more cool certificates for my "I Love Me Wall". I hate this place. "I have always been a soldier. I have known no other life. Having been a sailor, I still love the Navy (not so sure about the new uniforms though). It is likely that the Dept of the Navy sent those guys down there so they could spend some of their budget. If you don't spend it, you don't get it next year. I'm sure you have figured that out by now. Personally I think it would have been good to notify you guys and call it Inter-forces training. Sorry you missed out on it.

I've never served, so I don't know how it all works, but could you get with your CO and work out some special extracurricular activity just for you guys? I always say, "Don't get mad, get even."
