Hello

Hello my name is Dave and I'm new to GUNSLOT. I try to go to the shooting range as often as possible, but the wind tends to blow off my targets...That really blows!!!
I have a Ruger Mark III and a Russian M44. I plan on getting a coachgun and a SAA revolver. I also want to get a Walther PPK.
Anyway, I'll see ya' around.

Welcome Dave

welcome to the site. My wife has family in Victorville, CA. The coachgun are you talking about the short double barreled shotgun they use on stagecoaches? If you are my brother has one and it is a blast to shoot.

Hi, yeah, it's a double barrel side by side. They usually have about an 18" barrel. Stoeger is about the best maker. They are an awesome home defense weapon.

It is a lot of fun and we are still trying to get our nephew to shoot it. LOL

welcome

when my target falls over and laughs at me I generally ventilate the backing
with me sharpened broomstick (CCW). if that doesn't work I rebuild the frame with heavier stuff. on a more serious note, I stopped the falling over thing
with a metal support (you build the 1x2"frame) that is sold at " finger = Dillon reloading". It is light weight(not too light) and well worth the expense if you like to shoot. Ventilating the backing is no joke though. I used to climb, just to hear the wind whistle through me head at the top of the mountain.

(You have to look behind all of that outer space stuff)
