Any luck Ranger?

Deer season around these parts was a little tricky this year. You know how it is right after season is when all the big boys come out.I have been finding some sheds in these parts, a few decent ones.

not what I wanted

Took a few does........Chased a nice 12 all season....he is still out there.....last good look I had was late muzzleloader.....crunchy snow busted me putting a scent bomb on a limb.He heard me and I heard him, then picked him out of snow about 60 yards in low light.Besides had left my gun by tree about 20 yards away.....good thing because after chasing him all season,I may have attempted a bad,low-light shot and left wounded or mamed and out of the gene pool.Satisfied to let him crunch off.I do have 3 days of bow season left but it's been a cold snowy season, still snowing and single digits for the next few mornings.Might get the fever yet though...lol.

With all the food plots I am planning to put out this spring he had better. This was good year for bucks on my place.the pattern has come back full circle,it's taken a 5 year cycle, longer than I thought but we just came out of a 3 year drought. And this makes 2 years of the snowest winters we have had.The next couple years should produce a big boy.
