Dave, the Taurus PT940 is not a bad choise. Smith & Wesson has some great pistol too. Depanding on your money a Sig is a great pistol too.

First off Welcome to Gunslot. My congratulations on your mission to produce viable weapons. I guess I would search the US Patent Office and gun manufacturers who have gone out of business. Try to contact past owners of these companies. I recently saw plans for sale on one of the gun auctions. Don't remember which one though. Good luck and keep us posted...
