Hello fellow gunners

Hello there, I am joeybaggadonuts, not the famous gangster that has littered my nickname around since the 1980's. I have owned handguns mainly since I was 21, 15 yrs. and counting.
I go shooting as often as possible, learning and teaching myself many techniques, know many, master of none.
I feel it is necessary that all citizens of the United States actually own a firearm to defend themselves.
I also feel it necessary for all citizens train at least once a week, if financially that is not economical using live ammo, invest in snap caps. This will train you to not anticipate recoil, and give you a better feel of your weapon, since most just actually own guns in a safe somewhere until they want to carry it around.
The reason for all of this is for all to be able to defend themselves against many different types of people.
1) corruption in different organizations
and
2) who the F*&# will try to rape or rob some woman who will shoot you?
3) would criminals rob a bank if the teller will pull their 9 out on them?
4) who will mess with your grandmother when you are not there for her at the grocery store with her 357?

I have many more reasons for all to carry a firearm, but these are the major ones.

Gun Control= the theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

that when the citizens are armed, crime goes down exponentially. Period. No negotiations. No alternate explanations. Criminal don't want to get shot and if YOU have a gun and they know it, they will leave you alone for fear of getting the shit shot out of them. Look at the countries that have outlawed guns. Gun crimes went up in every one of these countries. But people are of the mind set that if there are no guns, then people won't get shot. This is the biggest myth out there. If law abbiding citizens are disarmed, then criminals will be the only ones with guns. They didn't get them legally, so what makes the government think that they are gonna give them up legally. Every person, after being trained, should be able to carry a gun. Openly and legally. No CCW. No hiding it. Put it right out in the open. Anounce to the robber..."Hey, fucker, I have a gun and I am not afraid to use it on your punk ass!!! Please give me an excuse to knock you clean outta your Keds!"

Carrying openly is a ridiculous concept unless you are in a group of people. If i were Joe Shitbag mugger looking for an easy score, shooting you in the back of the head and taking your gun and money is an easy score. Robberies are less likely to start out violently if you have a conce4aled weapon. The element of suprise applies to us as well as military operations.

Welcome Joey, I am also a newbie here. I agree with your opinion of carrying a firearm. I got my CCW a few months ago, but might have purchased the wrong weapon to carry. I bought a Kel-Tec P-11, small for a 9mm, but haven't found a comfortable method to conceal it. Any suggestions?

Kel Tec,

Belly band or iwb.
or if you wear pants yearly like I do, ankle holster and trade it in for an upgrade to a snub nose revolver from Ruger the new ones with polymer frame and titanium cylinder. Beautiful and light weight.(can't think of the model number at this time)
smart for carrying no matter where you want to carry it. not too heavy and not very big on budget. maybe 450 for pistol, about 100 on holsters until you find one you like or modify for your own.

I have a smaller collection than I used to, to be honest, I had an array of handguns, rifles, shotguns and assault rifles.
That was before the divorce.. Now it is a limited collection I have been able to restart, I still have my Glocks, a Bersa in .380 and a few rifles.
What kind of guns do you have?
