Hello I'm Hunter

Hi everyone on here! I'm here because my boyfriend asked me of a foavor while he is away again. Seem's you all made quite an impact on him he does not make friends outside of what he does very often, he is very much a loner. However this request he made to me makes me happy, you may wonder why? Well it is because I believe he is becoming more for lack of a better word human again. Luke is very much a soldier and loves doing what he does, and I would not change that in anyway because without that he just would not be himself. I just try my very best to support him 110% in what he does. He speaks highly of the friends he has met on here, so you all must be a really good group of people. Well we just dropped him off at the airport and like always he went through the gate without looking back, and he refuses to ever say good-bye. He is a very tough person and has been through alot of things for someone only 26 years old. I would just like to ask you all to please say a prayer when you can for him, I really want him to come home without any new scars or shrapnal inside he has enough of that. He will try to get on here some when he can but the net over there is spotty at best. I will get on here alot for him because he asked and I promised. I hope you all understand he does not share everything he has with you all that he has with just anyone. Heck in his profle he told you all more than he told me in the first 3 months we were together. I know he is a little rough around the edges but I want him back already, and I understand he just can't come home whenever he wants. He is very effeicient at dong his job and for that he is also very hard inside and out. So please keep him in your heart and prayers. I have never known someone who carries as much in his heart and mind as him and remains sane. I hope you all understand what you have done for him he is a great guy, I pray you will all meet him someday. Luke is a hero around here and not a get your name in the paper kind of way, he is a hero to his kids and to his family. He is my hero, he is my soldier, my Legionnaire. Please pray for him and his friends and brothers in arms. Thank- you all so much more than I even begin to say in here.

You're right, Luke's a great guy. You asked for our prayers for him. I know they will be offered. We all wish him to return as he left, with no new holes in him, or scars, or metal fragments. That's physical. Mentally, he won't be the same. There will be more combat, and that takes a toll. He's been there already, though, and remained a great guy, so he'll cope with this also. May God be with him.

Hunter, I'm saying prayers for both of you. It takes a special person to know how to deal with the situation and be understanding as well. We all hope Luke comes home safe and sound (for both of you) God Bless

Wow

Thank-you all so much I know he will be happy to either read this or have me read it to him. I understand what ecaman what you are saying, Luke carries alot of demons with him from battles fought in the past. He is very strong minded to be as well off as he is. The physical things are what is bothering me at the moment, he has been scarred up enough. I hope he gets on here soon, you have all made me feel good. He did say if I needed to talk this could be a place to check into. And I try not to act all girly around Luke but there are times I need to vent. I just worry I guess that one day I will get a call saying he will not be comming back anymore. Or worse seeing it on freaking Youtube! That feels better I know he is good at his job and cares alot about his guys and they have each ohers backs but that is a double edge swoard if you know what I mean. When Luke have the round hit him in the back and stop on the trauma plate ( I think that is right please say if it isn't) he went out under heavy enemy fire to get a fallen Legionnaire. I know that round didn't actually get him but he went to the hospitial and was bruised from his belt line to his shoulders. I mean what would happen if the plate had not stopped the round, or if the shooter had fired twice and hit him in the broken trauma plate? I know I'm rambling right now and I'm so so sorry. Just he as been shot and blown up and the IED's have really messed with him worse than anything. Don't get me wrong I'm not and never would take anything away from him, but when he lost his truck crew in Iraq and lived it killed him inside, he blames himself very much and that is a weight that is hard to watch. If there is anything I could do or say I need your help with that one please. So again thank-you all I will stay on here for awhile I'm waiting on him to call when he lands in France or Spain. So any advice would be apprieciated greatly. Thank-you all again!

Talking to Luke!!!!

Well I didn't get anything from here the second time but I'am right now speaking with Luke!!!! He is in France in his barracks he has me on hold while speaking french to another corporal I think. But he did say to tell all of you all he is tired and jet lagged. And he hopes all is well with everyone, and thank-you for treating me so well. He will be back in Africa in awhile he is leaving from there in like 5 hours so he will be there tomorrow. God I hate hearing that part but only less than 2 weeks there and then on to Kapisa Afghan. That may not be as bad, I hope. But he will be on the phone with me for awhile so if any messages just let me know I will pass them on.

I told him and he responded with a big ol OOOHHHHRRRAAAHHHHHHH! Yeah I believe the Marine is still in him somewhere. He sounded tired, just plain old tired. I have never really talked to him on the phone when they have alot going on there. He said they were moving weapons and equipment sounds busy to me. I miss him alot already and started crying to him, he laughed and said "I'm walking on 2 legs onto the plane, and I will walk on my 2 legs back off it again." That is a direct quote. God he is tough SOB I wish he would try to understand that I stand with him but I am a girl and I have emotions. He just thinks everyone is like him and turns them off. I need help with that part I guess. I asked a question earlier if about him blaming himself for his crew in Iraq could you help with it any? Please thank you again.
