Help me decide

Well as some of you know my wife is the best and she bought me an AR last month. It's time to return the favor. My wife is a crack shot and real proficient with a pistol, infact she out shoots me regularly. She likes my 9mm Glck but says it feels cheap to her. I know she wants a big caliber so I have been looking at 45's. I found a used Wilson Combat 1911, a new taurus 1911, a sub compact kimber 45 and a full size kimber 45.

What of those would you buy your lady? I am leaning towards the sub compact Kimber but am personaly in love with the Wilson.

I would go with Wilson or Kimber. Both are great brands. Wilson makes a little higher end stuff but you can't go wrong with Kimber either. If price is an issue, I'm sure you know that you can get the Taurus quite a bit cheaper. As far as full size vs. sub compact... I would get the full size unless she's planning on carring it. It will have less recoil and be a little more accurate. Just my opinion. Don't you have a G17? If so, she's used to shooting a full size pistol. What models of Wilson and Kimber are you looking at?

YEAH

I do have a 17 and that is what she used to, she also fires a colt 1911 of a friends very well. She would like to get a concealed permit and carry so I think I may go the sub compact route. I am unsure of the modle numbers just some guns at a local gun shop that caught my eye.

Kimber is good

if you like the 1911 crap. A choice between a Kimber or Wilson really isn't a choice. The Kimber is great quality for that kind of gun and is typically less expensive, allowing for more magazines and ammo to be bought.
