For you to actually collect will you have to take the court documents to him? I hope you get your $1200 back without having to spend $1300

vicious when they realize they have to find another place to live. I've gotten used to being called all the usual names and being threatened. If they don't get out the Sheriff will get them out.
Yep, fun

his last good address if you can,or a dirty letter from an attorney(costs about 50 bucks) that might cause him to contact you, there are other options yet available.

what a sad story..

Jay.. words of age if not wisdom.. sure hope you don't let this spoil you on being open to others...This guy burned you, and what goes around, really does come around.. he'll get it back brother.. every guy on here who's been around for awhile will tell you that.. the important thing is that you don't let this change you.. Sure sorry guy.. he WILL get his.. Don't let him or anybody live "up there" free.. try your best to deal with it, and let it go..You need to talk.. give me or any of us a pm..

my only comfort in all this is after he borrowed the money and didnt pay on time he completely ruined his own life bit by bit over the last year...he and his gf broke up,but not before he was convicted of domestic violence(sounds worse than it really is)she wouldnt give him his keys or phone or wallet he tried to take her purse to get them back and she and her friend who was trying to help her were knocked to the ground =d.v. here, when she left he got into some kind of substance abuse, and wasnt around home(country house)kids near as i could guess used it for a flop house and trashed the whole place literaly every window every counter all carpet and walls trashed tossed his big new tv through a window so hes gota pay for all the damages its a rentel!and when i find him im guna give his info to them too, most of his lifelong friends hat him cuz of the drug and drama with his gf since they own the restaurant/bars she worked for, then he had a chainsaw accident and almost detached his arm,not sure if that was before or after he decided to become a full on criminal http://www.shastamugshots.com/mug/joseph-robert-jr-finazzo-1 but basicly hes already ruined everything good in his life, lost his business his real sober or semi sober friends had to sell his powerboat harley, newer modified mustang and his dirtbike (bike was a jeremy mcgrath factory chapparell yz 250) i saw it at a local bike shop not long ago! WHAT GO AROUND COME AROUND KID!

ill just never loan that kind of money again, couldnt afford to lose it,but my friend needed it and it was suposed to be a loan not a gift.

No info for you, but maybe my story will make you feel a little better. Something similar happened when I was just 19. A friend and employee of mine (we both worked at a fast food joint) was short on his rent and needed to borrow $500 from me. That was more than a week's pay for me at the time. But as I am the kind of person to help people in need, I gave it to him. He then f*cked my girlfriend and moved to Oklahoma.
Never did see him or my money again. But I believe that people reap what they sow. My life has progressively gotten better, and I don't know for a fact, but just based on the life experience I have now and the kind of person he is, I am sure his life is a shambles.
Not that any of this helps you, but sometimes knowing others have been through something similar makes it easier to take.

thanks everyone for your input and words of encouragement...the old saying given enough rope to hang himself really applies to my story here.as i said before I've been trying to track this guy down,he's ruined his whole life and gotten into drugs and serious crime(thats the rope i was referring to earlier)i talked to a few people who also used to keep company with him and learned where and when he will be around for me to have him served, also talked to his old business partner who says he may have pics of me doing work (never paid for)but wasn't concerned at the time since i was helping a friend,ex partner says i can have photos if he still has them, but most importantly he's willing to go to court,or wright a declaration!tracked down his ex girlfriend at her fathers last night and he told me exactly the date time and courtroom he's expected to appear in,and told me as long as I'm straight with him to call anytime i want!things are looking up!was thinking since I'm guna go to court anyway may as well sue for wages not paid swell, and by my calculation his shop charged 60hr for fabrication, and since i was never paid my normal 15hr but completed 2 fence jobs of aprox 90 ft didn't do the install(don't know what his rate by the foot for that job was)but i figure a judge would prob give me half at least...2 days for that maybe 3 can't remember, and numerous hours on a fight cage we were working on before things went bad...if you pray, please put some good cosmic energy out there for me if ya don't mind.haha.anyways thanks gunslot!shoot straight.

How's things in the pink state?
I met a man at Lowes a few days ago, a fellow emigree from Calif. It was a laugh riot remembering all the goofy things about the place.
Gov. Moonbeam's voter goodwill check bounce yet? In my opinion, he could not have picked a worse time to jump into the Gov's office. Lib or Conserv, it's a loser job right now.

Jay, backdoor him.

Have someone else call his father and tell him he has a check for him(make any good story about why $ are owed to him, like proceeds of something that was sold) and just need to verify his address of where he resides. Once you get his addy, then send your process server in.

Spent time (to much) around addicts.. Most wont do anything until it's to late, the old saying about them hitting bottom before change is spot on for most of them.. Frankly i don't buy into the "disease" point of view either.. that just cleans it up and gives them another crutch.. Unless your Native American it's more choice than disease, and until they stop making the bad ones the addictions in control..

The saving him is that "IF" he winds up clean thru the process he can thank you for pushing this issue.. Watch your six here for a bit.. you'd be amazed at how someone who's broke can make bail, and remember he's got a dealer out there he owes money to.. You've got your act together Jay, least to much to live any sort of fear driven life, not worried about that, just saying you might up the S.A. for a bit..

Almost all inmates get out, and so will he, at that point one of two things will happen.. You wont hear from him again.. Part of all sentence and realease process is a "reminder" not to have any contact with "victoms".. He's not going to want to risk more time.. BUT.. If he turns his life around, he's going to be asking for your forgivness.. I suspect your a big enough man to do the right thing..

Good job dude.. you won!
